Always right.
The Ottawa Senators passed the virus to each other recently. You don't want it to happen.

I saw all CBJ games with Laine. @thebus is talking nonsense. Do you think just a shot, btw he didn't use it much in the CBJ, would be enough to get him 1 PP per game with centers like Jenner and a winger playing center Roslovic? Take a look at the current CBJ defense and compare it to the last one. Werenski didn't play that well then either, plus he got injured after 13 games in 2022/23 and didn't play anymore. He played excellent, what with no puck, defensively.Seems more and more like the Columbus game broke Laine. 0+1 in 4 games with just 4 shots on goal since going back to Columbus and now sitting out for the 4th straight time. That's 8 straight games of basically nothing from Laine. Hate to say it but this might be a situation were both Laine and @thebus88 were right. Laine was right about Columbus and the terrible mindset that the team had when it comes to winning and loosing, while bus might be right that Laine is just getting by because he has one of the best shots of all time and pretty much nothing else...
If we hope to sign Patrik Laine to a decent team friendly deal down the road one of the most important things we can do is to find an outlet for Jordan Leigh and her interests. To me this is great. It’s extremely rare to have a star athlete discuss mental health struggles « while » he’s a star athlete. Not « after » which is great too but doesn’t have the same impact for kids,

And importantly, Evason is a top coach, Larsen and Vincent mediocre, Larsen even below average
.
Laine had 64+74=138 points in 174 games in Columbus, that's not really close to point per game. And who can blame him, Columbus had terrible linemates for him and their powerplay was one of the worst in the whole NHL during his run there. But you would be surprised how far a good shot can take you. It's clear that the opponents fear and respect Laine's shot. That means that Laine can get away with assists that other players can't simply because the other team is expecting the shot. On top of that he'll get assists from rebounds and bounces too with a shot like that.I saw all CBJ games with Laine. @thebus is talking nonsense. I guess you didn't notice his ability to sheild the puck while drawing two and three defenders to him then finding a team mate ultimately resulting in Kirby Dach scoring a huge goal for us. The player is not just getting by he is still working on his game much like Kirby Dach and Alex Newhook have been doing.Seems more and more like the Columbus game broke Laine. 0+1 in 4 games with just 4 shots on goal since going back to Columbus and now sitting out for the 4th straight time. I understand the concern but it's also peak flu season right now. Like half the people I know have the flu.
yupThe fact that Savard as been out for the same amount of time is a good sign that this isn't Laine-specific. Just let the guy take his Buckey's and get better.
His first season in CBJ was during COVID-19, head concussion in the last. And, if you look at stats his last games, started to take points. Than another injury.Laine had 64+74=138 points in 174 games in Columbus, that's not really close to point per game. Laine is closing in on 400 career points and he'll most likely get to 500 career points even by just running on fumes at this point. Personally I think that the shot alone is good enough to get him to 600 career points and if he plays it smart he'll make it to 700 career points just by embracing the journey man route and going from team to team who hope that they can make it work with that shot. But is Laine good enough to get to 800 career points? That would require that he's able to at least reach a new career high and have somekind of peak we haven't seen yet. Time will tell but it's starting to feel like Laine is running out of time...
ones sick here at work, hacking for 2 weeks. crazyCovid perhaps? Team doesn't want the circus that comes with the term so they avoid it?
If it is, you hope neither of them gets long covid. I had that in the summer. The first two weeks were just flu-like symptoms, and after that was six weeks of extreme fatigue.Covid perhaps? Team doesn't want the circus that comes with the term so they avoid it?
