Honestly, even if this Hughes regime doesn't end up with a cup...I can respect how much they try. Every offseason they are doing something interesting and staying to their plan and not jumping around. For the longest time all we heard is how hard everything was to do in Montreal. You guys will love Laine, particularly if he comes in with something to prove. The sky's the limit if he's healthy and motivated.

Wow! I didn’t think this was happening. I actually misread it and thought the Habs gave up a second, but it’s the other way around! What a steal! I don’t even care about the salary. Harris is so vanilla and would’ve lost his spot anyway. This frees up a spot and solidifies the top 6. Hughes is the man. If Laine does well, they could certainly resign him. I’m sure they did their homework on him.
