Patrik Laine for Casey Mittlestadt
Patrik Laine for Casey Mittlestadt
Laine helped our powerplay when he first came back, scored 10 goals in 13 games. He was big part of Habs 13 game Christmas heaterMontreal shots for with Laine on the ice : 197
Montreal shots against with Laine on the ice: 272
Montreal expected goals for with Laine on the ice: 19,59
Montreal expected goals against with Laine on the ice: 28,36
Montreal PP% before Laine: 20,8%
Montreal PP% at the end of the season: 20,9%.
Correlation does not equal causation. You're supposed to learn this at elementary school.
I just want him gone so Montreal can have a useful 2nd line.Heard some around are asking for a 2nd, Laine half retained
Idiotic to think the Habs would pay to dump Laine when they don't have cap issues and Laine may be useful if he gets his knee fixed.Heard some around are asking for a 2nd, Laine half retained
Laine (50% retained) + 2nd round for Future considerationsHeard some around are asking for a 2nd, Laine half retained
You took it wrong, we want a 2nd. Not pay a 2nd.Idiotic to think the Habs would pay to dump Laine when they don't have cap issues and Laine may be useful if he gets his knee fixed.
People are really clueless...
It fits with his play and his usage.I forget the guy who covers montreal for TSN and was on TSN overdrive discussing Montreal’s season.
Essentially he touched on Laine and said the things that have changed for Laine, is he has heard from around the organization is that they have to “hide” him when he is in the lineup.
That’s different from a 4th line which is limited minutes around 11 minutes and they hope to have some offensive zone time, maybe draw a penalty, throw some hits, and maybe contribute offensively every now and then.
But Like when a player has the term attached to him with we have to “hide” him, it’s a serious problem.
Exactly. His contract doesn't hurt us.He brings decent value to the team as a pure PP triggerman. Makes no sense to trade him away.
He seems to click well with the team too, i think he's happy here.
That's the dumbest thing i have ever heard. Habs, how have no cap issues, need to add 2 x 1sts to trade Laine, who has 1 x year remaining. LOLYou will need to tie your two 2025 first picks after him to interest someone to get rid of him
He still has a NTC, not sure that'll ever work out.The Jet's would be interested with a 50% retained for sure!

It’s not a No Move Clause. So the Habs could just waive him and send him to the minors. Imo that’s what they should do. It’s only one season. Keep him away from the Habs room.He still has a NTC, not sure that'll ever work out.
Habs don’t ned to trade him. Period.Yeah inconceivable for it to happen considering it literally happened the last time he was traded. The Jackets added a 2nd with Laine to get rid of him. He's been benched since then. His value is not higher than it was last offseason. You're calling others clueless?
No the point was, he would probably block a trade to Winnipeg. It’s not a No Move Clause. So the Habs could just waive him and send him to the minors. Imo that’s what they should do. It’s only one season. Keep him away from the Habs room.
Understood. No club will want him, even at 50% retention, unless the Habs add or take back a bad contract. So just bury him in the AHL.No the point was, he would probably block a trade to Winnipeg.
We want your 2nd this year? The Jet's would be interested with a 50% retained for sure!
