Where the sun don't shine
If the return is low, which is probably the case, I'd be pretty upset as Blackhawk fans/organziation. He really did them dirty by waiting to make his decision (could've gotten the Tarasenko return), then only giving them one team to trade to.

You can say, he won them 3 cups all you want, but he got a big contract for doing so. If I was the organization and the offer is peanuts, I'd just keep him. If they're getting low pick(s), the chances of that amounting to anything is so low that it's not even worth it. Owner should just be happy to make millions more off him by finishing the year/tenure with the Hawks, as many fans are gonna wanna see his last games as a Blackhawk.

The fact that Davidson allowed it to get to a point where Kane literally demanded it
You're making things up.

Kane hasn't made any demands. Hasn't even waived his NMC yet.

Why would a guy go home for "a moment of reflection" if he wasn't conflicted?

Kane cares about his legacy in Chicago. He's not demanding to leave.

Chicago gets a protected 2024 first and goodrow

Rangers get Kane at 75% Retention

Vancouver is the man in the middle retaining
Why would Goodrow be part of the deal? If he was, the Rangers wouldn't be going through all these cap gymnastics.

You guys are really buying the narrative Brisson cooked up so that Kane's persona in Chicago wouldn't change much, huh?

Do you really think Kane didn't force this trade?

This is why waiting until 5PM tonight is imperative.

An NHL "day" turns over at 5PM EST, so anything that happens after that time counts for the next calendar day. So waiting until Wednesday actually really just means waiting until 5PM Tuesday.

The Rangers cap issues always were getting fixed by Wednesday (or Tuesday at 5PM).

It's already been reported that if Chicago isn't happy with the return, they're going to keep Kane.

Doesn't sound like a scenario where anyone made demands.

Goodrow didn't practice with the team today. Maintenance day.

With that said, i cant imagine the Rangers move him in a deal prior to the playoffs. Drury's whole model initially was based on players that were "hard to play against". Minus Goodrow the NYR forward group doesn't scream hard to play against.

Stop being obtuse. Kane wanted NY. He's no longer with the team. Learn to read between the lines. It's really not that difficult.

“It’s not, like, the happiest I’ve been to hear about a trade,” Kane said. “If things were going to happen, that was a team I was definitely looking at. It seems like they kind of filled their void and went ahead and made a deal. It is what it is.”

“Obviously, you want to do right by the franchise, and the organization here has been amazing to me and given me so much. So you definitely want what’s best for both sides,” he said.

Goodrow would have been held out if he was potentially being traded. He also has a 15 no-trade list.

Yeah this trade is a very good learning experience for everyone to understand the cap space and how it works daily.

I do believe they are hoping to have kane play Wednesday night but all depends on the cap situation and dollars

They're going to have to implement a system where any time a Rangers fan makes a post, it'll come with a caption that says "owned by Kevin Musto"

Elliotte Friedman just reported the Blackhawks have already sent over Kane's equipment to the Rangers, so they're certainly pushing for him to play Wednesday night.

He literally said he wants what's best for both sides. Why was he upset that Tank was traded to NY instead of him? Duuuuuhhhhh. Wake up.
Because if he were to be traded, emphasis on if, New York would be his first choice

It's that simple

I heard Vancouver was the 3rd team so I believe the 2024 1st round pick makes sense from chicago perspective
Regarding the player return anyones guess is speculation I wouldn't say because he wasn't scratched he isn't getting traded. New York is walking a thin line and to make this happen it has to be perfect.

Yeah I read that . Everything has been done its just waiting for new york to hit the magic cap number to sign off
