Actually, you have no idea when he officially said he was OK to go. But considering he came out publicly and said he was pissed the Rangers went the Tarasenko route instead of him on February 9th, this would insinuate that you are wrong.

But again neither of us have any idea when he OFFICIALLY said he would go. But signs point to it being long before just last week
He did not talk to Brisson until the SJ game last week. All of this is public but you can continue to pull shit out of your ass and make assumptions. I prefer to use the facts.

The full picture has been clear as soon as the Rangers traded Kravtsov to the Canucks. So not a week as I stated, but since Saturday at noon. I don't think there'e much surprise to be had here other than the prospect the Hawks get & if the pick is a 2nd or a 3rd. Feel free to mock me if I'm wrong.
I'm not mocking anyone. Everyone has their beliefs/opinions. I'm pointing out that none of us fully understand the salary cap and all the loopholes and daily maneuvers as well as what each GM is working towards .

Keep in mind that new york had a situation Friday or Saturday maybe it was Sunday regarding the number of players that the cbo requires so with keeping that in mind we don't know what the end result will be.

I'm not predicting kane brings a 1st or 2bd or x player it's all speculation.
Plus what Kyle might prefer a 1st in the future that allows new york to keep this year's but give up a 2024 25 or 26 pick later

Dude... I may be overvaluing our assets... but a sandwich from Katz is easily enough meat for 3-4 sandwiches.

If we're including one of those, we need more value coming back.

And the sour pickles are off the table. Untouchable.

Ok, no pickles.
We'll throw in a Mr. Beef but you gotta throw in the steak fries and cole slaw on the side.

Uh no, it wouldn't.

He was asked after every game if he made a decision yet and he said no. Then he finally went home, which we can all agree that made it official.

But then again, Kane said he'd to right by the Blackhawks and that was BS, so maybe he's just lying all the time.
I would think coming out and stating publicly that he was pissed Chicago couldn't get a deal done with NYR would mean to just about everyone that he would waive his ntc.

Just because he didn't like that NYR trade and made comments about it has nothing to do with if he had cleared a trade to NYR or not. Kane has also said over and over before the NYR comments and after that he has not given Chi his answer of if he would allow a trade or not. Both Kane and Davidson had said that they agreed that Ka e would let Chicago know a week prior to the DL. Guess what happened he started sitting out a week to the DL.

Now Chicago knew Kane did like NY, it was not some state secret. They could have had a deal with NYR, but Kane was no sure yet at that moment. Then instead of waiting NY goes out does the StL deal. You know bird in hand just incase Kane decides to not leave Chicago. So yes Kane could have easily not have made a decision back then like he has said over and over he hadn't and still not like the NY trade because if he did decide to allow a trade maybe his number #1 choice may no longer be available.

People keep not realizing that a lot of Kanes thought process was not just about what he liked (NYR) and just a cup capable team. A lot of it was a about Kane's family. Wife and kid in Chicago. Also his Dad's ability to go to games (massive fear of flying).
This is all just one big assumption that you have no proof of. How do you know Kane didn't go to Davidson prior and say that he only wanted to go to NYR, and to make it happen. Davidson goes to NYR and overplays his hand thinking he has time to negotiate up until the deadline, and NYR pass and trade for Tarasenko?

Actually, if we are talking about reality, this is actually the more likely scenario.

Why is Goodrow being discussed in this thread? The Blackhawks are selling and not taking on a major contract. Rangers are buying and not unloading a major roster player. Finally, if Goodrow and his contract were part of the deal (he's not), the Rangers would not have been going through cap gymnastics all week playing with a short bench and papering guys to the AHL.

The writing is on the wall.

Pick(s) and prospect(s) to the Blackhawks.
Canucks are retaining 25%, partially compensated already through the Kravtsov trade.

Depends if they want another Blackhawks roster player bundled with Kane.

If they moved Goodrow I believe they could fit Kane + Domi, for example.

So in summary you believe Kane and his comments about being upset over the NYR. But he never ever said he was pissed at Chicago for not doing a deal that is your assumption

Then on the other hand when Kane flat out says, that he hadn't agree to be traded multiple times, well he is just lying now.

I think I will take Kane on his word, which fits with what he has said since before the season. You went out and dramatized his comments about the NY/STL trade and then just ignored all his other comments about that he literally said he had not given Chicago approval on any trade. When did Kane give permission on a trade, how about just like he had stated had always been the agreed on time for a decision 7 day prior to the TD. When did Chicago sit him for trade reasons, oh 7 days before the TD.

I would be stunned if the Rangers are looking to add two forwards.

Domi is an upgrade over quite a few Rangers forwards so it's not like it'd be a bad move.
Don't disagree, but I prefer to discuss realistic probabilities. There's been zero rumors of the Rangers looking to add another forward beyond Kane, and it would be inconsistent with how they've been managing the roster the last few weeks.
