Tribute Patric Hornqvist, thriving in Florida, left some of his heart in Pittsburgh

AHEM... AHEM..... What is this? Is this a beautiful late Christmas gift?
You mean an Aviation?

While hornqvist did a mini bounceback after going to FLA, he was on the VERY edge of becoming a gigantic blackhole here and that contract was going to screw us badly very soon...

... 20/20 hindsight... Yeah sure we should have kept him around anyway, cause we didn't do any better without him nor use that money for any good, at all

He’s in that category of player that isn’t a superstar but has a superstar level impact on winning teams. No back to back Cups without him.

Well two things were happening:

1) His contract was going to be brutal in the coming years
2) The team needed a scapegoat and Horny was an easy target

After every playoff loss there has to be a scapegoat since Sully can't ever be held accountable

1 Year it was Phil
Another year it was Horny
And another time it was Jarry

I bought this man's jersey after a week after watching him play back in '14. I was wearing it when he scored that goal off Rinne's a$$ to win the Cup. I jumped out of my seat and ran around the house.

Always will have a place in my heart for that beautiful Swede.
