I am in the same boat as you. Hated the hire. Happy to admit I was wrongGood for him - didn't like the hire. He proved me wrong.
I'll take my crow sous vide and reverse seared.
I think Anaheim and Seattle will seriously look at him after his year in the AHL. Gut feelingI have feeling he'll be in Vancouver next season
If the habs need a coach the pick won’t be much help. Maybe they bring back Vigneault, if he’s available.Or they should just bring back the rule where you get a 2nd or 3rd round draft pick as compensation if a team hires your assistant/AHL coach as their HC. There's still a rule like that in the NFL I think
Seattle and Pittsburgh are probably waiting our elimination to talk to him imo.The available NHL head coaching jobs are going real fast . Feels like he's staying put next season, unless he's open to be an assistant again first.
Laviolette and Tortorella will get at least one of those, possibly both.Seattle and Pittsburgh are probably waiting our elimination to talk to him imo.
Tortorella? He's going with Sully in NY no?Laviolette and Tortorella will get at least one of those, possibly both.
Nothing official, at least as far as I know. I might have missed something.Tortorella? He's going with Sully in NY no?
I can't believe Torts keep getting job offers tbh..Tortorella? He's going with Sully in NY no?
Sadly, Pascal will be gone after this season. Probably a team in the NHL offering him a job as assistant coach.I watch every game for a reason! Laval is a fun organization especially since they got rid of Lefebvre and Bouchard.
I don't think he takes an assistant coach job over head coach in his hometown, only a head coach position. He's been an assistant coach for a long time already.Sadly, Pascal will be gone after this season. Probably a team in the NHL offering him a job as assistant coach.

True it was never specific compensation, teams had to negotiate it themselves (always a 2nd or 3rd pick) but in effect my point is still the same. There never was such a rule. If a coach is under contract compensation can be worked out if both parties agree to do so but there never was a rule that guaranteed specific compensation.
Davidson is so bad.Apparently, there are reports that Blashill might be Chicago's next coach.
