Drai was easily the best player. Not many gave a shit.

McDavid tried I guess. Mooch Hopkins and co were just there

Guys like drai must die inside watching how non chalant some of these guys are at hockey
Tonight was another game where this roster was exposed. Tonight it was Nurse, Stecher, Emberson bad on D and ANYBODY but Mcd and Drai bad at forward. There was literally nothing on down the lineup but being outworked and misplayed. The bottomsix play of the team has been pathetic lately.

I think the team has been getting into a poorer game for a couple weeks now and got away with it in a few games.

This is your effort for your moms. They came all the way to see this and drink. Hopefully at least the drinks were good. Looks like the club was indulging too.

No panic here but this is rarely as good or as bad as it looks any given day. EV score today was an ugly 5-1. Deserved to lose this all day.

Ryan Strome with a heart game from Anaheim. Seems to always happen against the Oilers which kind of makes you wonder.

How f***ing sad is it that we can't even win a division title this far into McDavid's career. We're going to have to play the Kings in the first round again and that's going to be all the home ice advantage we'll get all playoffs if we advance.
Those 3 points will probably loom large coming down the stretch.

My former boss texted me saying they played like shit and deserved the loss, thought I’d check the board to see other’s thoughts. The bolded raises the question of what is their record on these “mom” trips anyways? Seems like every year they get their dick holes smashed in on these trips.

For some reason I seem to recall the 'dads trip' going better, maybe it was part of that win streak last year?

Either way I don't like it. They need to treat this like a f***ing job, even though it's a children's game they get paid millions to dick around half the time

Former players term to hate us. Lots of anger at management at the very least.

LA will DESTROY us this year. Just a better team top to bottom. Literally the only thing we have better is McDrai. Our only hope of beating them is McDrai scoring almost 2 PPG in the series

Agreed, this will be the year that LA eliminates us in round 1.

I really hope they aren't, but I can't figure out what excuses they can continue to come up with for such inconsistency

They have the horses to run away with the division, and yet these piss away points to trash like the Ducks to make their lives harder. Yesterday's game was also another point pissed away to a meh Kings team. Doesn't make sense.

This team has been this inconsistent since we started to be good in 2019/20.

They can absolutely win whatever they want with the talent they have, but it’s an absolute struggle to get a 60 minute effort out of these guys on a night-by-night basis. I mean how often in the last 5 years have we seen a dominant win against a strong opponent followed up by a loss to a bottom feeder. This isn’t anything new.

Nuge I've been done with for years. You need a guy who can drive a bit and win battles.

Goalies won't take us anywhere. Management loves them though

Bouchard I don't care much about. Door will be almost all shut when they pay this guy anything over 6.5
Been defending Nuge lately but what a Vanilla effort again from him. Take a page out of Ryan Strome today, should be forced to watch that 60mins. You were outclassed, outdone, outplayed by a player the Oilers discarded for Ryan f***ing Spooner. You can't make up some of this stuff.

Stu didn’t make enough big saves last night. Story typical of him when he’s not playing his best. But the muffin goal today would have been nice to avoid and likely would have if Stu was in net.

If they want to upgrade on Picks I’m fine with it. But the only move that made complete sense to try has sailed. Average goaltending might not be dire enough to spend those assets.

They absolutely need to move both goalies down a notch. Skinner is a fine 1B. They need someone better to push him back to 1B. If he can steal the spot back, great

Pickard could be a backup on a team with a top 5 goalie or some shit, idk. He wasn't the reason they lost today but they likely win both these turd games with a real tandem.

We lose one game against the Kings on the back of getting randomly rinsed in a bottom 6 matchup while being the better team for 40 minutes and now we have no chance against them.

Christ.
We wouldn’t get stomped but I think as it is now they would beat us. They got better we got worse.

Not enough killer instincts in this group when it comes to games like these. They've never had it and they never will.
The problem is the killshots always come from the same guys. The scoring balance in this lineup is reprehensible. We have only 3 players with more than 7 goals. We have a lot of vets getting much of nothing and being happy to be at around a handful of goals on the season.

Without McDrai, scoring wise we're Anaheim. A sobering reality but it is.
