I really want 1st overall, I'm going to start scoreboard watching starting now! I already had a peek and I can't be bothered to do the math right now but I think we might pass NYR and be 4th overall already.

As do I. I will always consider the presidents trophy winner the best team. Now the playoffs could make a difference if a 2nd or even third place team won, if they were only 3 or 4 points behind the presidents trophy winner. If a 4th overall or worse team won the Cup I attribute it to a fluke and well shit happens.

Ah Sheldon I kind of agree but lighten up. We played well against a great team.

Wouldn't put too much thought into it honestly. He's just trying to keep the boys a bit grounded on this 15-2 run. No doubt boys are on some cloud. What a run.

They played an awesome first, but they let the Av’s get back into it. I think Keefe wants to keep them focused because they’re not going to out score bad habits. The game should have not gotten that close with a 3-0 lead.

One positive is after they got that 4th goal that got their mojo back. But had it stayed close, that game could have gone the other way easily.

The teams always been talented, can they score when it counts is the only issue and we shall see if they can break through that ceiling this year.

Campbell I have always believed is a #1 and he's proving it. The man to take us to the promise land.

If we don't resign him I'm done. Hated the Mrazek signing, hopefully he's easily offloaded if he can play well when he gets better, need that money for Campbell.

Had to double check that he wasn't some emergency recall or something. Some of those goals were brutal. He still managed to make 33 saves.

I must have read posts from dozens of people saying we'd in tough to make the playoffs. All this talent and people are still so fragile, smh.



The playoff are obviously what really matters but this regular season is shaping up to be a fun ride as well and 1st overall is a prize worth winning considering how tough our division is. I don't even know when we last finished 1st overall, I don't think it's happened in my lifetime but we're in the mix for sure. And it's something to shoot for while we're waiting for the playoffs to start.

I don't even have to look it up to predict that the Leafs haven't been top in the league since at least the 60s. It had to be Original Six years. That would indeed be a worthy accomplishment.

I think Keefe has the team dialed in to be on a mission. For my money, in particularly from Tavares. He just seems to have a more deliberate attitude.

They know that many fans will not give them the benefit of the doubt so it's on them to figure it out.

Enjoy the ride, but keep one eye on the prize. The consistency of players in and out of the lineup has been impressive. It feels more akin to a "playoff ready roster". I hope they can maintain this.

Dubas wisely didn't overpay to keep fan fave Hyman. He's found FAR more depth and completeness in the roster now though.
