Hey, those are the Eastern Conference Champion Rangers! :snide: ;)

We had a little over 300K people. That's pretty damn impressive. Downtown LA doesn't lend itself very well to parades and apparently you needed a special ticket to be near Staples unlike in 2012. If we had a giant park we could have gotten a bunch more people. There are a lot of factors that go into it, but stupid people will think stupid and say stupid things. Let those butthurt clowns complain about our parade. Bet they wish they had 300K people at a parade right now!

Restrictions aside, being Monday afternoon on short notice after the cup was won Friday night screwed a ton of people, I'm sure. Anywhere that was closed for the weekend or you're not close with your boss? Too bad, you only have Sat and Sun to make arrangements...

Anyway, we don't owe other fans ****, so who cares, let us classless knowledge-less bandwagoners gloat all the way down Figueroa!

I actually thought there was a pretty loud reception for Rob. At first there were boos, but then as Bob finished introducing him, the chorus of cheers came along.

Yeah, if there were any boos, they were drowned out quickly by loud cheers.

Anyone who would boo Blake at that rally or anytime nowadays is a complete jerk imo.

Quick with a stuffed lower lip. ****ing disgusting.

Say WHAT? The guy is notorious for being long-winded lol

You are right though, that was a fantastic speech today.

I meant he rarely speaks in public like that. I eat it up with a fork and spoon. I love it.

That Game 2 beating they gave us was on Easter. Now we're sitting about 3 weeks away from the 4th of July. Feels so much longer ago. First two series are a blur now. Chicago and New York series' feel recent.

I'm really looking forward to watching Game 7 of the SJ series. I missed the first period and because of my superstitions, I took the whole game off

Damn this was a long haul - 26 games. That's over a quarter of a season!

Yeah, unreal post season... The Sharks and Ducks series seem like ages ago. In the last three seasons we've almost had like three quarters of a full season of playoff games. Man.... the wear and tear on the players must be brutal.

Whatever Blake's done in the past is buried there.

Rob Blake's name will forever be engraved into the Stanley Cup under the Los Angeles Kings. Enough said!

Anyone have a link to the recap montage from the end of the rally? Couldn't find it on KV, needs to be watched many times today.

Edit; Just realized this was obviously not from the rally (duh, old jersey) but pretty sweet pic regardless

Was watching the world cup game today, Mexico and Brazil.

Bunch of guys dressed in Mexico jerseys. They were talking in Spanish about the Kings game on Friday.

Later when the Mexican goalie made a great save on what amounted to a Brazil 3 on none. Afterwards the guys were saying in Spanish they need to re-name him Quick.
Cracked me up.

The sport is growing and interest, welcome to all new fans of the Kings.
