That B.C. defense is beyond suffocating......holding the Bombers to just a pair of field goals at IG Field even had the TSN panel stunned.

Not a lot of holes in this Lions squad......if they can just avoid the injury bug.

Incredible performance all around! Defence is the main talking point but Special Teams has improved immensely from last year as well.

Not sure if I remember a team averaging less than 7 points against over the first games, let alone to two of the top three teams in the league.

Winnipegs first loss at home to a western opponent since 2018!

It’s extremely early but these are the kinds of games that can really influence whether in November you’re playing at home or in -10 in Winnipeg

It always warms the heart when a team that is puffed out and riding high--get smashed in the mouth and cut down to size.

No Western team has won a CFL game in Winnipeg since 2018....and even the TSN panel was stunned. They were still predicting the Bombers to come out storming in the second half, but didn't happen. I don't think the Bomber QB Collaros has been sacked seven times in half a season--much less in one game.

This Lions team is for real. And Adams is playing out of his mind, compared to a lot of his earlier stops around the league. Maybe at age 30, he's just matured into the QB that he always had the potential to be.

We have started this season better than we started last year with Rourke.

Did not see that coming.

If any of you say you did, I call bullshit.
Not really a surprise to me......Rick Campbell and Neil McEvoy have been slowly building up this roster for the past couple of seasons.

They've simply got a lot more 'big-play' guys on offense; and their defense is one of the stingiest in the league.

They don't need the brilliance of somebody like Nathan Rourke at QB to win.....a solid journeyman like Vernon Adams Jr. will do just fine.

We didn't just beat em, we scared em. Not a good look when your players are telling the newspaper that it's in their heads.

Zack Collaros was sacked seven times; and it would have been eight if the Lions line-man hadn't arrived a split second late and earned a roughing the passer penalty.

When a team sees it's backfield penetrated at will, and the league MVP under siege, it's bound to plant the seeds of doubt in their minds.

Lions play the Bombers twice more--setting up a couple grudge games for sure.

Tough game to watch so far. If you disregard the four interceptions and the 91 yard punt return TD given up, we don't look too shabby. As it stands it's 35-24 Toronto with 10 mins left, so there's still a chance.

Similar to last year Adams rotates between good games and bad games. Perhaps the most important key to our season will be finding ways for him to limit the damage when he's not feeling it. When you have a defensive corps as good as BC you have to be more responsible with the football. Toronto was asleep earlier but giving them the ball numerous times just breathed a bunch of life into them.

Hopefully we can pull this out but more importantly learn some lessons with our decision making.

And number six is a Pick Six. Fitting end to his night.

Some of these passes were bewildering. Anyways, get this out of the way on the road, early, against an Eastern opponent.

Learn, adapt, move on!

Has a Lions QB every thrown six INT's in the same game in their close to 70 year history? On a couple of those throws, there wasn't a receiver within 10 yards of the ball.

Vernon Adams was a nice story in the first three games--but the Argos came in with game-plan to pressure him into mistakes. And for one game at least, he looked like the Al's QB of old.

Feel a bit sorry for the B.C. defense.....can't do much about a punt return touchdown; or the terrible field position they were handed all night long because of the turnovers.

Oh well....back to B.C. Place to play the Al's next week.

WOW - 2 incredible finishes today! First it was Ottawa with the big comeback and winning in overtime over the Bombers.
Then that crazy ending ending in Regina with Calgary winning with a game-ending field goal.

Happy for the Ottawa win, but I really wanted the Riders to pull it off after that miracle catch and touchdown. Hope their QB Harris is not seriously injured.

Upper deck is open for the Saskatchewan game! Can’t recall the last time they did this for a non home opener/non playoff game but it’s awesome to see

Probably a testament to the number Rider fans who escaped the bald prairie for the Wet Coast, but no doubt the Lions are on a roll.
