It doesn't matter for now, we haven't won anything yet. When we have four wins, then let's speculate.

Huge win today, this team just keep surprising 🤯

Hey I'm just putting out the likely dates for the finals...regardless of who's playing ;)

I think the idea that this is a "transition year" should be out the window. We are one win away from the Stanley Cup Final. There's no guarantee we'll be back in this position. Yes, Zito is likely going to improve the team on paper, but hockey is a funny game where teams that seem to have no "holes" in the line up aren't guaranteed success. Look at Boston. Look at Toronto. Those teams look very strong on paper, they're golfing today.

Winning a championship is about assembling the right combination of players, with the right coaching/system, and getting excellent goaltending. We have that combination right now and it's not guaranteed to be the same in future years with a "stronger" roster. Everything had to fall into place and the stars had to align for us to go on this run, with the most notable being Sergei Bobrovsky playing like the best goaltender on planet earth.

I want the cup.

But yeah, pretty incredible to be here when I think we all thought this would be a re-tool year due to the cap issues and then the surprise Tkachuk trade.

That would've been the case if it wasn't for Bob. Let's face it: this team doesn't doesn't have the depth to challenge most other teams either in scoring or defense if Bob was posting ~.910save%. This is the Bob Show and I'm loving it.

How hard is your pest control job? I can pretend to be you.
"You have a brown bear problem? It'll be a tight fight, but just get a cat."
"A soft wood maple tree fell on your house? Get a cat, it'll clear it right up, but be mindful of all the salt."
"Penguins on an island? Black birds and climate change are gonna take care of those."

Am I hired yet?

 no pest control business.

I work in the water department so can't just say, hey 75k people, eat shit if there's a main break or dirty water.

Then run a side business as well on weekends.

But yes you can come cover my shifts please and thank you, Roger that, cheers

Still a transition year, cause next season we’re going undefeated

Not just Bob baby. These guys aren't giving up prime chances like last year

Really good analysis. Charron's one of my favorite analysts to read about.

Bob has been stellar, no doubt about it and all the credit to him. I think our defense has also been good, boxing out the other team to minimize traffic, giving Bob lots of confidence that he'll see the puck and just do his thing when there's a goal mouth scramble.

Yeah the other teams look like they get more o-zone time, but I wouldn't say a lot of it looks crazy dangerous and when you compare scoring chances, its not that far off. The deserve to win meters get juiced by shot counts, just like corsi. I think Panthers are playing the type of game they need to against higher-skilled teams (Bruins/Leafs) while letting an equal-skilled team (Canes) duel against Bob.

You go for the cup. Do whatever you can.

We know as much as anyone how hard it is to get to this point. We had to wait 26 years just to win another series. We might not get back here for another 25 years. Injuries, players struggling, teams adjusting, front office changes, etc. Nothing is guaranteed.

We may be good again next year but we could also be bounced in the first round or freakin miss! You really just don’t know.

We all think fondly of 1996. This run is just as special. And we can cap it off with a championship and make it the greatest season of all time.

Buy in, fellas. This is something we’ve all been waiting for. Let’s keep pushing onward

Highly doubt they would squeeze potentially 7 games in 10 days, that would be insane. We've seen 3 days travel between cities for cup finals, so that's most likely.

Latest Conference Finals Game 7 scheduled for May 31. NBC had cup finals starting June 3, which makes sense to me if you assume 3 days rest after a potential Game 7.

nbc said 3rd. My guess is

Game 1 - 3rd
Game 2 - 5th
Game 3 - 8th
Game 4 - 10th
Game 5 - 13th
Game 6 - 15th
Game 7 17th

That may be true but I find it hard to believe TBH. Extreme case, two series sweeps means we’re done May 24 and Vegas done May 25. Then wait 2 weeks? NHL must have a contingency plan. That’s way too long. This isn’t football.

ETA: didn’t see the corrections… never mind… except I’m too lazy to erase
