That last shift was less-than-great, but yeah, I agree. He's been fine for most of the night and even created a few chances in the offensive zone.

Nylander is a bigger issue. The thought actually popped into my head that he might be injured. Because he really doesn't look like himself out there.

He turned Mark Staal into a pylon with the pivot and then just stopped skating. He had Bob pretty much all alone. He waited and the chance disappeared.

He set up JT and Knies who both failed but he is not his usual dangerous self.

It has nothing to do with being scared of contact though.

That is just a ridiculous take.

When he is on he uses his body and drives the net. When his confidence is off he just can't seem to make a decision.

Nylander and Marner are simply not adapting at all.

Marner hasn't really been making big plays all playoffs. His point have primarily been touch passes at non dangerous areas of the ice. Or slap shots from 55' out. Key plays on goals are by his linemates.

He's been ok and I have no problem with that. People seem to already be forgetting how Holl has played so far. It's not like Liljegren has been playing a lot of hockey lately either.
