I'm feeling oddly calm, almost indifferent. I'm sure I will be pumped up when the game starts but for now, I'm nowhere as nervous as I was before the TB series. For one thing, our horrible streak is over so that pressure is off. Also I like our chances against FLA more than I did against TB so even if lose tonight, I feel like we will win in the end. So yeah, not too worried about things in general.

That said, the stakes are higher than they've been in a couple of decades because it's round 2, we're closer to the cup than this core has ever been and because we are favorites this round and probably next round too, we have no excuses for not making it to the finals. That is something I have never lived to see and that makes me crazy nervous when I think about it. So ... not thinking about for now, just chillin, doing some work, and I'll start getting all worked up 5 minutes before game time.

It's interesting, because Tkachuk is unquestionably the better player, but he can be agitated into making a mistake just like Bunting.

I'm a Bunting skeptic, but I think I'd be fine playing Bunting's line against Tkachuk's line. I like the idea of that line being anchored by O'Reilly and Acciari.

The Panthers have a pretty poor PK, significantly worse than Tampa's in Round One. This could be the Michael Bunting redemption tour if he can toe the line but not go over it.

Keefe couldn’t believe his eyes how much better the D was without Holl.

And Lily actually skates up and provides an outlet pass in the nuetral zone.

Holl just passed it from the corner letting someone else carry it. I know he’s trying to be safe but he even sucks at that…
