The only goalie left in the playoffs one should maybe worry about is Oettinger.

Goaltenders are voodoo. Leafs through the season have shown a weird way of being to make some goaltenders look godly.

It could be Vesa Toskala in the Panthers net and I'd think it's possible he's the next Dominic Hasek. Bobrovsky has the ability to play out of his mind.

Or you get guys like Arturs f***ing Irbe who turn into god for a short stretch out of nowhere. Guy had a .902 in the regular season and posted a .938 in the 2002 playoffs. I don't think anyone would've initially envisioned Irbe being the superior goalie to CuJo...

I have a pair of tickets available to tonight's game on behalf of a season ticket holder. They're section 320 Row 3 Seat 16-17. The ask is $1,100 for them, which is looking pretty reasonable in comparison to most of the resale market. Tickets sent by ticketmaster transfer and payment by etransfer, but I'd even meet up to make sure everything goes smoothly since it's a big purchase.

I've attached a photo taken from Round 1 Game showing the seat view.

You have the passion my friend. Cheer loud and proud. I hope they make it a good game to be at.

The "starting on time thing" has become a bit of a meme, but I find myself with my five hole clenched in the first period of every hockey game.

Panthers are going to come out flying. It'd be great if we can keep them off the sheet early and settle in. An uneventful first period would be fine by me.

Welcome to Round 2 Tuesday. Feeling good about this. Hopefully they get back to playing with possession. This chasing the puck thing is hard to watch.

Vesa Toskala...

Years ago when I was still living in Toronto and working for Rogers they had a silent auction and one of the items was a Toskala signed jersey, I bid $300 (a ton of money for me back then) and lost. Super happy now that I didn't waste $300.

Who is going to annoy Rathcuk now that Muzzin can’t play?

Imma be honest, the Leafs silenced the Tampa rats perfectly well. Did anyone notice Perry and Maroon after game 2? Tkachuk is on another level of rat and he's actually a terrific hockey player but I think there are layers the Leafs have that should be able to move past his antics.

I have good feelings about Marner this series.. I know he put up a ton of points on R1, but he still didn't seem his usual self. I think he'll have more space and time this series and the Panthers are going to absolutely hate themselves for it.

GLG
he historically plays extremely well against the cats, 19p in his last 10 games against them.

I think it’s hilarious the people on the main boards wanna act like Bobrovsky is still the guy who won 2 vezinas and the better goalie over samsonov going into this matchup

Samsonov, 5gp, 4-1, 2.42, .919 (game 1 removed)
Bobrovsky, 4gp, 3-1, 3.94, .891
And if you remove Bobrovsky's Game 4?

So a special teams series? One thing. Season long stats are skewed and weighted before the trade deadline. We brought in 3 top hitters in the NHL since then. Do these stats include their hits for the full season and attribute to the Leafs?

I think there will be lots of PP opportunities, but the “even up“ trend in playoffs means we will need to kill a lot too.

Those numbers were just with the Leafs.

From the the trade deadline onwards, the Leafs were actually only 16th in hits.

Leafs were awful on faceoffs against TBL. They were very good in the regular season though.
Felt that way. It was actually fairly even. Leafs actually won 9 more faceoffs.

Panthers lost 35 more faceoffs to Boston than they won.
