Boqvist had some good moments for us during that 22-23 run, and the season before

21-22 was wild because he became a good player like overnight. I remember looking at his numbers during that year and he was still god awful before Christmas but then after the break immediately turned things around and became a useful NHLer

the uncertainty on Mcleod should have been enough of a reason to bring him back. he has positional versatility and fast/skilled enough to play with the top guys on the team in a pinch

Him and Zetterlund were the reasons that 22-23 team could run 4 lines nightly and just skate teams into the ground. It's pretty obvious they overreacted to losing to Carolina and got slower and led to the mess we saw in 23-24 until they had to fix it this past offseason. Fitz/company are pretty damn good at proactive but some of the depth issues are caused by them.
