lol If we had Dano on the call we definitely would've heard him get scared at Jack sliding that one back to the D across the front of the net.

Him and Zetterlund were the reasons that 22-23 team could run 4 lines nightly and just skate teams into the ground. It's pretty obvious they overreacted to losing to Carolina and got slower and led to the mess we saw in 23-24 until they had to fix it this past offseason. Fitz/company are pretty damn good at proactive but some of the depth issues are caused by them.

I just feel like there’s some revisionist history going on about Boqvist right now. Zetterlund actively brought something to the table. Boqvist didn’t do much good or bad and not many seemed super upset when they moved on from him.

The issue isn't that the Boqvist himself is some world beater, he's a good player, but he's most likely a dime or dozen.. It's the idea how they moved away from the identity of elite skating guys because of one series not going their way. They panicked and thought they were too soft v Carolina. When in reality, they got no goaltending from Schmid/Vitek and their backend consistently shit themselves. It had nothing to do with the forwards which has led to depth issues now.

Anyone that we would sit for Boqvist is a marginal difference at best... personally I'm not sure I would sit anyone currently on the roster for him...but I haven't given it much thought.

MacDermid would never touch the lineup unless for Flyers/Rangers games if they had Boqvist. Bastian would be less of a regular than Boqvist too
