Team playing disinterested and flat. Definitely a coaching system problem as well as the players aren't playing for one another. They're just....lost

We're not going to go far this year at all with this mentality. We lost to the worst team in the NHL. Can't get anything going, same old dump and ****ing chase routine which never works. Cycle cycle cycle with not one single player in front of the net. Shooting weak shots into the goalie's chest. Can't buy a goal even with 70 million dollars. Same old ********. Unless we can get some confidence going and sustain some sort of momentum we don't stand a chance at anything this year.

I thought we played well, we were just fairly unlucky. Two of those bounces that laid in the crease for seconds at a time go in and we talk about how the 3-2 score doesn't reflect how badly we dominated them.

Some of you guys need a reality check. Not everyone played well, but we were hungry on the puck and we exposed their bad defense.

No offense, but this is nonsense. The Rangers can't have an offense like a dentist pulling teeth. The Rangers system is simply not good enough.

I don't care if some of the Rangers players are showing hustle. Effort is not the main issue on this team. Coaching is.

Can the Rangers at least trade Boyle? I mean, do something that you're still serious about salvaging this season and being a contender.

It will ultimately come down to who is on a roll in the playoffs. I don't make much of regular season standings this year.

If nothing else, we'll either get in having played a bit better or miss altogether. We sure know we won't limp in.

This is not a team issue.

44 shots to, what, 23. The effort and the skill is there.

It really has become a coaching issue at this point. When the team was losing to Pittsburgh, Winnipeg, etc, the effort and skill wasn't there...but, tonight, it was, and they still lost to an inferior team. This was an extremely winnable game.

Lundqvist giving up a soft goal doesn't help. The Panthers controlled play for maybe 5 minutes in that entire game. The Rangers had the puck 90% of the time. Lundqvist can't be giving up goals like that when the Rangers are playing as well as they were.

Just a deflating, disappointing loss when we needed a win the most.

Wrong. The coach is supposed to put them in a position to succeed. There were plenty of chances, they just can't finish. Put a couple of decent scorers from other teams in those situations and we score 5+ tonight.

Nash lost my respect after that hit. Not only is he floating half the game, playing no defense, he gets frustrated when things don't go his way and he makes a dirty hit. Sad thing is, now that he's the whole team ( making Gaborik and Richards expendable), these fans are clinging on tot he thought of him being some kind of international "superstar" oh please.

Look at Columbus's identity. Looks kind of like we switched identity's right? I wonder why?

Tortorella needs to go. That's the bottom line this year, next year, the year after that if he stays for a decade then it'll be a decade where he needs to be fired every single game. Why is Gaborik and Richards suffering this badly? The dump and chase system. Hagelin is doing well, Stepan is doing well, Callahan is doing well... why? Stepan is an all around player that can grind and battle for the puck. Hagelin has speed and quickness along with some physicality. Callahan is Callahan. Why is every other player useless? Pyatt doesn't know how to use his size, Boyle is useless for the same reason. Gaborik can't grind or play physical worth ****. Richards can't grind and play physical worth ****. Nash can play physical and is automatically physical with his size.

Players slumping = player who can't play dump and chase
Players performing = players who can play dump and chase

Scorers = players who can't play dump and chase
secondary scorers = players who can play dump and chase
lesser secondary scorers = players who can dump and chase but don't have skill sets or offensive talents.

Why do you think there's an "offensive slump"?

Nash scores against NJ, Stepan scores against CAR, Hagelin scores against NJ, Stepan to DZ against NJ. Callahan instrumental in all of his games.

Why do you think there's an offensive slump? When you don't send you kid to school and keep him from learning things, he's going to end up illiterate and dumb.

I would argue that most of our issues have been systemic for a while now. Including the losses to the Jets and Pitt.

We have the worst transition game in the NHL.

Who cares? It's like we could get anyone worth mentioning for him. And not having any center depth hurts too.

How many of those 45 shots were quality chances? I'll venture to guess that the Panthers actually had more scoring chances.

Do you know how many goals this team scored in the past 6 games Zenith? 6.
Do you know that this "team" hasn't scored a goal in the third period in 5 games?

Just so you know...those 45 "shots" were not shots. They were muffins from the outside.

The Halpern opportunity should have been a goal and Gaborik's earlier opportunity where he was passed the puck in front of the net alone should have been a goal. If the team could just finish this would have been a dominating win. I'm still happier losing like this than I was when we were losing last week.
