With the amount of criticism some other superstars like Auston Matthews have received for their playoff performance, Barkov's disappearing acts have really flown under the radar. 4 goals and 14 points going in 19 games is pathetic - and it's not the first time that Barkov's offensive game has not been there in the playoffs. He's far below a point per game for his career and only has 10 goals in 45 playoff games!

If Florida loses against Vegas as it looks like it's going to happen, it will be remembered that Bobrovsky and Tkachuk showed up while Barkov again failed to. The $10 million Captain getting blanked in another series.

Matthews has consistently good defensive stats in the playoffs too, his takeaways and blocked shots are really high and he actually dominates play against Barkov consistently in his career. Even during these playoffs he had the play in their zone more often when they were on the ice together.

Uh-huh. Barkov is paid 10 million dollars for loose puck recoveries and his offensive stats disappearing is not a problem.

Yeah, the ONLY player on the Panthers roster who was not a minus player in the first two finals and the best net scoring chance rate of their whole roster, while averaging 20 minutes per game and playing against the toughest opponents.

He needs to start putting up points but HF is as well as full of stat watchers.

Barkov was a monster against Carolina yet at hf he’s a bust.
Again last night he set up multiple chances but had no points to show for it.

Hopefully he takes a more aggressive view and starts shooting himself instead of setting up others
