My friend played with him and mentioned how he didn't care about his teammates while also being competitive with them when they didn't want to be all the time. Guy was just super competitive, but his mindset is a big factor as to why because he got so full of himself that it just affected his game. He also was shallow, like if you chirped his style he didn't take it too well and once made fun of a minor league call-up telling him how he didn't have what it took to make the NHL. He was also not quite nice to lots of his teammates, also believes he can make fun of you but can't make fun of him.

She's alright, but it's not like other players wives and girlfriends are not of the same standard or higher.

She’s a legendary pro athlete who’s made her own way in the world. Represented her country, was the face of the sport, role model to a generation of girls, etc etc.

Don’t pay attention to too many wives/gf’s but seems like lots of instathots and trad wife types. Not aware of anyone as accomplished or so highly regarded in their field as Vonn

Got paid, then when he realized he couldn't play without slewfooting other players every game he figured it was time to hang them up.

Injuries took most of his speed and quickness, which was probably his prime attribute early in his career, along with his strength and slap shot.

Then, presumably in an effort to compensate for this, he put on about 10-15 lbs of muscle, which took any speed and quickness he had left. With him already being a stocky/compact guy, this was extremely detrimental to his game.

I’m not sure who convinced him (if anyone) that this was a good idea, but someone should’ve realized this and set him straight. PK is PK though; maybe they did and he just didn’t listen.

I recall hearing that he loved fitness and practically lived in the gym and was doing bodybuilding/powerlifting style workouts, which is just stupid for an NHL player and not conducive to success in hockey. Dude thought he was an NFL lineman and trained like it, pretty much.

This, he's one of those freak athlete types who can make their own style work but yeah once that physicality goes away he couldn't fall back on a basic game.
