Anyone concerned though that we take on the entire contract from a $$ point? So now if Hall goes for $11, we just used up $20 million towards the cap.
No. Greene's $5m deal ends after this season, and Zajac's $5.75m deal ends the year after that. We have space to work with.Anyone concerned though that we take on the entire contract from a $$ point? So now if Hall goes for $11, we just used up $20 million towards the cap.
He'll be a free agent when Hughes needs a new deal.Subban will have degenerative back disease once Hughes needs a contract, don't worry.

WHICH ONE???Where's the dude who always rips on ownership for not spending money?

Hall's already on the books for $6 million, so it's more like adding $14 million.

Even if he isn't the same Subban that was winning the Norris 5 years ago he's still a gargantuan upgrade over the plugs we have on D now
I really liked Davies but if that’s the price for Subban I take that every day.
And that's where the supreme drafting by Shero/Castron will come into full effect. We're building up the pipeline with good players who will plug and play around our core of Hughes, Hischier, Smith, and hopefully Hall. I would say Severson is a part of the core too given his sweetheart deal
Drafting in this day and age is key.
