They are very much a work in progressI like the way the Attack play. Wondering what are the expectations this year.
I don't think anyone is going to say that yet.Carter George is #1. No doubt.
I don't doubt he will be I will however play Devils Advocate. It may be a little early to say #1 yet did Carter play because he is #1 or was Wally giving the kid a start in as close to home as he will get. Also keep in mind his mom comes from a well known Soo family and there were alot of them in the building? I'm not saying Carter isn't the guy but sometimes the obvious isn't always what we see. Now that he put up a 0 on the board it definitely puts the pressure on in the competition for the net.Carter George is #1. No doubt.
Any idea what the suspension was for? 5 games is alot.Bit of a shocker but James Petrovski got 5 games for whatever earned him the Game Misconduct last night. Assuming Steen is still out then Smith and Ethier are in. Question becomes do they actually play them or just try to roll the top 4? Can't imagine they try and get away with not playing Smith and Ethier on the back end of a back to back on the road but I didn't expect to see Smith glued to the bench last night either. Likely going to be a bit of trial by fire.

Not a clue. Have to assume it was something to do with the game misconduct penalty in the third period Friday night. Typically suspensions are applied if there was some sort of inappropriate language or gesture used that is against league code of conduct policies. The vagueness of the suspension announcement doesn't offer any real idea as to what actually happened.Any idea what the suspension was for? 5 games is alot.

Deep playoff run if they play to there potentialI like the way the Attack play. Wondering what are the expectations this year.

My guess is it something that there were comments made. This happened a few years ago and the league didn't disclose the reason for the suspensionNot a clue. I 100% agree with your first statement Carter is taking over the net. My guess is they may not actually name him #1 though and Corbin will get opportunity to take it back. It probably benefits the team to have 2 guys pushing each other to be better. Having said that Carter is the guy setting the bar right now and it's Corbins challenge to at least match where the bar is set. I don't mean to sound like I'm favoring either one I like both and am fine with either one being the go to guy.Looks like George is taking over the net.. good choice for me.. he gives us a chance every game

I'll go out on a limb and say it had to do with the coaching change that was just announced?I shouldn't have posted that, sorry. I'll just wait
I think this one was expected to be honest. Maybe not this early on but I think many were surprised he was back this year after the way things ended last season.
What is with the early coaching dismissals this season in the O??
yeah I get that. Doesn't make a lot of sense that he wasn't dismissed in the off season. I don't think anything has changed between then and now philosophically.I think this one was expected to be honest. The quote by DeGray is interesting, “Making a coaching change is always a hard decision, but ultimately, our vision for how we best maximize our current roster is not aligned and I feel it was best for the organization that we make a change."yeah I get that. Friday's game against Sudbury sticks out like a sore thumb to me. The line combos and D deployment didn't make any sense. The way they were managing games at this time of the season just reeked of desperation.I think he was on a short leash. It sure looked like he was coaching for his job in the few games i've been able to watch. We are seeing the same here
Really curious if this had anything to do timing wise with the D deployment over the weekend? Would love to know who's decision it was to play or not play the rookies, whether it was Walter's call or Rumble as the D coach? To dress and sit Smith Friday and then dress and sit Ethier on Saturday didn't make any sense to me.Will there be a dry eye in the house ?
Problem is all the best HC's are working. Hard to find someone other than maybe somebody retired? My best guess is coach Rumble will be apart of a list of candidates for the vacant Head Coaching role. If Rumble is the new HC they hire an assistant, otherwise an outside candidate comes in as HC and the assistants remain the same. I have to imagine there will be a lot of interest in the HC position.
