you beat a high school team 4-1 with an empty net, but it was just what the doctor ordered. Cormier has been invisible for a month, i wonder if he was the next to be scratched. BS move scratching Rogers in what is the closest game to his hometown. Would have had tons of friends and family there. Also Stewarts' hometown and no start, as his traditional with most organizations. Oh well, see you guys in Kingston. Broadcast showed a few shots of your busload of fans, good job.
Thanks

Good win for you guys, George was the answer for you. Bit of a classless move by the coaches again tonight. Stewart back in town for the first time after his trade and OS doesn't give him the start? Not written in stone but customary to give them that respect. They did it for Smith and Mccue in Peterborough. Also heard Rogers had 25 family members in Peterbrough thursday night and gets scratched? For Ethier, who played 6 shifts. Quick way to piss off your team and lose respect for coaches decisions. Rogers is from belleville and thursday was as close to home as it gets. Anyway, good win for you, but shows very little class from your organization. At least Kingston had a nice tribute for Stewart during a stoppage of play

Why does it matter for you so much? Your name says "KTOWNFAN".... so how about just supporting Kingston and not call other organizations classless for trying to win a game that they need to win. I was a big fan of Stewy when he was in Kingston, but the coaches aren't classless if they start their best lineup for giving them a good start to a game.

I honestly think he’s a Stewart fan not a fronts fan I don’t see him posting on the fronts forum very often anymore but always on here.

He does make some good points though about if players are playing in their home town it’s the little things that matter like dressing a player for that game or starting them if they have family and friends in attendance. Sure the coach doesn’t have to do that but it sure makes him look like an a hole for not.

There no doubt is a connection, it wouldn't have gone on this long and we all wouldn't be saying the same thing if there was not. I highly doubt its a parent, but more so a billet parent or something like that (they have mentioned beng around the kingston room after games), he was also the first person to comment on trades and firings, probably coming directly from the player. Stewart is very good at what he does and probably would be a bit embarrassed by all the attention this has given him, but also just what he is, not more, not less. He has done nothing but represent both the Attack and Owen Sound well since coming to the organization.

With regards to home town players or traded players starting, I know that when Connor Roberts came back to Owen Sound for the first few times in Hamilton he didn't start, no special treatment, and I don't think anyone said a word, its not a big deal.

Uens first game back to Owen Sound this year after the trade and he did not start, Budnick and Burns did, and I don't think anyone cared. Its not the feel good league, its a bunch of teams trying to win games and make players better.

We've all been asking the same thing. Its been about a year of the same thing, not enough opportunity, not respecting him. not this, not that. Funny thing is everyone says how awesome Jackson is and how great of a teammate he is.

Wow. What a hockey game! Talk about heart, resiliency, guts and determination. The Attack Pak got a heck of a show!

That was as good of a game as we've seen from Barlow all year. Hopefully that's a sign of things to come from him. He was fantastic in this one.

Really liked the third line of McCue - Cormier - Tersigni in this game. They were pretty solid on the forecheck and caused some havoc in the Ottawa end.

Votary came up clutch with that late breakaway save in the final minute of regulation to keep it tied.

3 for 3 on the trip and hopefully some positive momentum to build off of to go on a run. Should be a fun bus ride home.

That was a London Knights type of win. 3 goal deficit deep in the third period....never give up....fight to the end.
Ottawa could feel the win slipping from their grip with 3 min to go.
What a great feeling to be on the right side of one of these games.
Great job Attack!

Watched this after i watched our fronts get manhandled. Not much hope until the PPs at the end. That Barlow can shoot that puck. Good for Votary to get the win. He made some key saves at the right times. Not sure about your assessment of the havoc caused by that line, but a win is a win. 3 road wins isn't easy to do.

Unfortunately The Attack pak wasn't there. The day off kinda screws up doing all 3 games. The cheering that was heard on tv and radio was the family and friends of our Ottawa area players and some fans that drove over for that game. They certainly made there presence known though. A great effort from those in attendance to motivate the boys.

That's too bad they missed it. You could definitely hear the Attack fans in attendance on the TV broadcast who were very boisterous. It was a great effort from the team and all the more special with so many family and friends in attendance. I'm sure that performance will be the talk of the town this week.

Interesting note in Matt Hermiz post game write up posted below. Curious if any eagle eyed Attack fans watching practice this week pick up on a new goalie on the ice. I'm thinking it will be an EBUG on Thursday but they do have some interesting internal options if they choose to sign on a third goalie.

"Owen Sound Attack goaltender Carter George left the team following Sunday’s game in Ottawa. He’s heading to Moncton, N.B., for the CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game on Wednesday. Rumble says Votary will start Thursday in Barrie for the Attack, and the team is expected to have another goaltender added to the roster to serve as his backup, as George makes his way back from the east coast."

The fan club got their moneysworth, 2 big road wins and a team visit after Kingston's game on the fan bus .
Always a highlight of our trips.
Not sure if any other fan club gets team visits like us.

Attack officially add Koprowski as the third goalie. He will wear #31 with the Attack. It will be interesting to see if he gets the George treatment and spends some time with the Attack for practice when he's able to with the GOJHL schedule. I would expect he will be the back up next season with this signing. I think this is a really good get for the Attack.

Goalie position hopefully is locked up for the next 3 years now. We'll see, but his save percentage on a very bad team suggests he should be much better with a better team infront of him. Hopefully he gets a game in this year.

I wouldn't be shocked if he gets a game or two this season. I'm hopeful that he gets the opportunity to spend time with the Attack and see OHL caliber shots in practice when possible as that is such a big help for a young goalie to prepare for the next step. Komoka is in action January 27th and then doesn't play again until February 3rd. It would seem like a good opportunity to get in some time with the Attack.

That felt like a weird game. The Attack had good stretches in this game where they looked strong but just undone by self inflicted mistakes. I can't imagine the looseness the teams plays with on defense is part of the team structure. If they could ever tidy that up and remove some of the breakdowns they'd be so much more competitive. That to me is the main difference from this team being where they are vs the top teams. It's tough to win in this league, even harder when you don't defend very well.

Koprowski looked good coming on in relief. Thought it was another good game from the third line of McCue - Cormier - Tersigni and they contributed two of the goals.

Also noticed they have Sedley lined up at forward on the PP off the face off with Petrovsky manning the point which I find odd. If you're going 4F and 1D on the PP don't you want your 1D on the blueline? Seems a peculiar set up and not sure if it's been that way for awhile and I just haven't noticed or if it's been that way for awhile? Petrovsky pinching off the blueline on the PP directly lead to the first Barrie goal. Have to think a defenseman probably plays that a little differently.
