Value of: Owen Power

Trading Powers is not a quick fix here.

The failings of this team is not all on the players, but rather incompetant Management to find The Right mix of players. If Powers had, say Radko Gudas skating next thim, he'd be braver.

And Powers will improve defensively once he grows into his height - hopefully.

Again, if someone makes an offer that we can't refuse, no one is untouchable. Not happening in today's NHL.

Seems like a luxury to have Dahlin, Power, and Byram. With the holes they have in the lineup one needs to go. Dahlin isn't going anywhere so it comes down to the other two. Power probably has the most trade value. Could get a good forward for him.

Byram was just worth a top 6 C in Mitts (at the time). Power has more value. It is a top line player or Power stays.

What ails Power isn't going to be fixed by his partner.

Maybe this partner will beat him up during training. You need to provoke him. Turn off the lights in the house, throw a couple of eggs at the car, this will awaken the beast in him and he will go on a rampage.

Doubt it. I feel like if I saw Power walking down the street, I could demand his wallet with just a stern voice and he would give it to me with no hesitation.

Fair play that it apparently was said, but considering that guy also said this:

I figure we can distinguish somebody who's being completely batshit insane from a guy who is seriously suggesting that Power is better than Seider.

How do we differentiate who is or is not sane? :biglaugh: But if you want to hold on to a singular outlier, sure. Outliers happen. It's pretty easy to ignore them.

What would it take from Blackhawks to acquire Powers? Just curious if Sabres are looking for picks/prospects or more veteran types? Blackhawks could make something around Korchinski/Toronto 2025 21st and vet like Connor Murphy at 50% retained.

The Sabres need to get better and futures doesn't do that. They've got too many of those anyway. There is only one player on the Blackhawks that would be attractive I'd say and that's the one guy the Blackhawks will not be trading.

Could do the old PK for Weber trick and trade Power for Seth Jones. Would let Power be the #1 in Chicago with Bedard and Seth Jones can finally stop pretending he's a #1 dman.

Hell no. Jones is terrible, probably washed. Blackhawks don't have the pieces for Power, even though he'd probably be a good fit there.
