Oh my, do we have another 200 point prediction? His floor is Carbonneau but his ceiling is probably a better Wayne Gretzky.

They could do that right now if they wanted. All 3 of Monahan, Evans, and Dvorak play in the pk.If Beck hits his ceiling then Suzuki will never have to touch the PK as Beck will have that covered. Suzuki and Cole can rest up during that time.
More importantly Beck is bigger... which will definately be taken in consideration since we probably will have Caufield and Hutson being probably favored small guys we cant have 5 guys being 5'6 to 5'9 and being under 180 pounds those who will make it will have to be real special.Yes, Beck has vaulted himself ahead of Farrell in the prospect rankings.
Owen Beck is a center, a better skater, has the 200 ft game Farrell has and has a similar offensive toolkit, though I do think Farrell is a much better playmaker.
They are both great and may actually form an insane 3rd line together. They'll just need someone with skill and beef on the other wing.
Especially when you don't have to pay top 6 salary for 7 years. He has the potential to be 2nd line center imo, but having a potential 2C on your 3rd line is a luxury we may have
That's a pretty high floor, no way I make that statement.I would like to think his floor is a Guy Carbonneau. I know its way too early, but this guy has talent and he seems grounded and has a work ethic.
Look, I'm not comfortable predicting that a player will absolutely reach their ceiling, but in Beck's case, I'd be shocked if he doesn't get at least 200 points a year before he's 25.Oh my, do we have another 200 point prediction?
Beck wasnt some unknown player, its just that there was a few more polarizing players.I am not writing this to call anyone out. But I distinctly remember many posters being absolutely furious about this pick in the draft GDT. Again, I didn't take names as I thought it was a pretty funny reaction
I personally didn't know him either, but I am glad that the team made their homework on that one.
I can't not laugh when I see you post this CC pic, holy shit it's perfect hahahaWe have too many good prospects.![]()
His Floor was always 3C even before the draft, People thought he could be something more if he was given better minutes on his OHL team. So far this year that thought has be proven correct.
His ceiling to me has always been "Bo Horvat' to me, A good defensively responsible 2nd line center that can score goals.

I'm a Beck and Slaf are Habs players now so I want them to succeed fan mostly. If the team does good then that usually means they are also good. Are you a Habs fan now?

Bro gonna pot 60?
Yeah, another minor covid era slip through the crack type effectI didn't know that Beck is currently playing his 2nd season in OHL, not 3rd season like most of the D+1 players.
There was no hockey in the O 3 years ago.I didn't know that Beck is currently playing his 2nd season in OHL, not 3rd season like most of the D+1 players.
Slaf, Roy and maybe Mailloux have a better shot. He's got a laser. Honestly, looks like the best shot among prospects in this organization, including Slaf.

If he's winning Selke's I'd be pretty damn happy. Carbo was an elite penalty killer and probably pretty damn good in the circle.Oh my, do we have another 200 point prediction?
I haven't seen that Slafkovsky is that great of a shooter. I'm not disagreeing, but I just haven't seen it yet at the NHL level. There was no hockey in the O 3 years ago.

Mesar is a better close range shooter.
He is a very good shooter though, its a pretty clear 30g beaner.
His first goal was a pretty nasty snipe. Hes got great power and his release is good, very deceptive in the angles he takes too.If he's winning Selke's I'd be pretty damn happy. Carbo was an elite penalty killer and probably pretty damn good in the circle.

If Beck turns into a young Danault, I be excitedGorton did an interview with Marinaro and was asked if Beck is a 2nd or 3rd line center. Gorton said he already has the attributes of a third line center but said don't put a cap on his ceiling and he could be more. He seemed excited when talking about Beck.
