22 points in 14 games now? Has improved every year with the Caps, and has 3 years left at 5 million a year. Outside of rookie deals I don’t know how many players at the moment have better contracts.

Last season he had 8 goals after his first 43 games. In game #44 is where he started to turn it around when he scored that OT goal in Dallas. Since them he has 33 goals in his last 50 games.

I've always been butthurt that the Caps could never seemingly snag a Verhaeghe, Panarin, Forsling or Marchessault out of nowhere like other teams but Strome is looking as good as Backstrom ever did at this point, well at least offensively. Just unreal playmaking and timing. Would be insane if his chemistry with Ovi endures the entire year and somehow Ovechkin scores a career high in goals while Strome obliterates the all time Caps points in a season record

I doubt Ovi will come close to his career high in goals this season or next.

65 goals aren't that easy, especially for 39 years old.

Probably not, but would be fun to watch. Remember he usually heats up in the second half of the season as well

Goals are clearly a easier to come by now leaguewide than they were when he scored 65

Fun fact: OV had 9 wrap-around shots but never scored (at least from 09-10)...
