I wasn't familiar with Winnipeg having a WHL team. But wow, that is one terrible logo.

Thank god for KK he left for a place where they wouldn’t only play him 15 mins a game. I’m sure the 12 he is getting in Carolina will be better for his long term dev.

I didn't realize that either.

This team moved from Cranbrook BC, which is situated around the Rocky Mountains, so I assume the logo has to do with a mythical yeti type of creature.

I'm not sure it suits Winnipeg though.

I actually like it, BTW.

Ilya Bryzgalov would approve. They don't call it Winterpeg for nothing

Really sad. Fentanyl has made any recreational drug use extremely dangerous -- way more than it's been in the past. It's so deadly.

It's crazy how many communities are so damaged from it. NHL is no different. Unfortunately, he's not the first and won't be the last.

I watched most of the Canes game last night. That team can fly, and KK can not keep up with Necas and Aho. He will have to move down the lineup, but fit is going to be hard, he is their 4th best C and 3rd best LW.

He really doesn’t fit a need for the Canes which makes the whole thing strange. I predicted pre season he would play 15 mins bottom 6 usage and after one game still feels like this is where he lands. Sure it’s only one game, but the fit just isn’t there.

It was a revenge signing not a need signing despite whatever Canes or their fans say. Now they get to pay a 3rd line LW/C $6m. Good luck with Necas negotiations next year.

Necas will aim for Suzuki+ money. JK's contract will have no effect on it. It's a one year contract and the cost will be a low end of first round pick which is not a great value. Our fan base need to stop being salty about it. The only cost of this signing will be the pocket of Carolina's owner.
