Picked Boston to win the cup months ago and the recent acquisitions sure can't hurt that. If they do go and win,the city of Boston and all bruins fans should give a huge f***ing thank you to Kreci and Bergeron. Their combined cap of 3.5 is ridiculous bordering on unfair. For 3.5 you don't even get a gangly bambi these days.lol
I hope they get bounced in the first round and Bergeron and Krejci retire, then Pastrnak leaves via free agency.

Leafs sending 2025 2nd to Arizona to complete last years Ritchie trade. Leafs have given away so many draft picks that they won't be able to replentich there roster when the Habs are ready to compete. If Matthews leaves they will be done.

They already have issues filling their roster with prospects. Leafs are bad at drafting outside of the 1st round. Zero support cast from their draft to support their top 10 selections (Rielly, Nylander, Marner, Matthews)...and the few they had, they traded.

Texas
McDavid with 3 points today so far, 112 for the year. Edmonton is a lottery team without this guy.

Draft picks come every year for free. Leafs can easily replenish by trading player-assets for draft assets or for prospects. I think the “bare cupboard” concern is overstated — as long as you don’t have high-skill prospects you’ll always have a bare cupboard… see the recent history of the Habs. Bergevin never traded a first rounder away and we always had a praised prospect pool but it was never reflected on the Habs.

They drafted Knies and Robertson in the 2nd round. 2 top prospects (if Robertson can stay healthy)

Both aren't fully in the NHL yet. The only 2nd round and later players drafted by the Leafs since 2008 who are still permanent NHLers are Pierre Engvall, Connor Brown, Sean Durzi, Verhaeghe and Travis Dermott. Only Engvall is still with the Leafs.

I don't think I missed anyone.

First the streaking puck and now this?

Where’s the checkered flag when a goal is scored? You know, with the puck being so small and all.

Look like the folks from TSN finally lost it...

"O'Reilly excited to have OT-hero Nylander on his flank
After witnessing William Nylander's brilliance in overtime on Friday, Ryan O'Reilly will now get the privledge of playing alongside the Swede, as the Sheldon Keefe juggled things up a bit on Saturday. The team was also still marveling at Nylander's OT-winner against the Wild."

They probably left the typo on "privilege" because they couldn't contain their excitement.

Gaudreau mentally quit on that short handed goal the moment he saw McDavid cross to his side. Wanted no part of that lolol
