HF Habs: Out Of Town Thread: 2026 Play-off edition

  • If you are having issues logging in, we have found opening the log in page in a new tab/window rather than using the pop out should resolve these issues. We are working to get this resolved and thank you for patience.
  • Due to the increased volume of league transactions, the Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk section is temporarily restricted to where threads may only be started by moderators and sponsors. We anticipate that this restriction will be lifted some time after the first round of the draft.
Is there a trade deadline today?

Also is it just me or most of these trades look like goofy amateur trade proposals?

GMs don't care about the coming draft and it's in 3 days. Tomorrow might be similar, since some none-rebuilding teams loaded up in first round picks and they probably want to use them for more trades.

I don't hate it for Chicago tbh

McKenna/Stenberg/Reid 123
4oa is where the draft starts
Bjork? Hawks are already full of smurfs
Verheoff/Carels/Malhotra none of them are top5 guys in a normal year, 4-10 is very weak this year. IMO.

Byram is a dog very hard to play against. Sabres lost a heart and soul type that stabilized their D, helped them win the division.

They get as much value as they possibly can while they can without trying to cut any corners. Pretty much the dream rebuild for every fan that most owners won't dare to commit to.
Tbh it's the best rebuild I've seen since the 2000s Penguins (at the "accumulating assets" part of the journey of course, we obviously dont know if they'll win anything).
