It's all a big secret, even his team doc sees nothing on scans apparently. But every signs point to his back, so probably a disk issue (which is more and more commons with hockey players). For those that have followed piglets' injury saga, can someone offer a short form summary on what the hell is going with him. ?
That you will inevitably hate on who they chose.I want a good draft pick
Calgary 11th is a good draft pickThat you will inevitably hate on who they chose.
I'd rather win.
Tough to see how both Montreal and Ottawa make it.And All 7 Cdn team could potentially qualify for the playoffs… when was the last time that’s happened? Early 80s?

They need to trade for Matheson. And I mean that seriously. It's going to be Toronto in the east. Winnipeg and Edmonton in the west.
Ottawa is the one I'm on the fence on. They are in a good spot but I don't trust them.
Vancouver is in danger of a free fall. Their depth on defense is being exposed this year. If Hughes is out for a few weeks, it's disaster and they aren't making it.

He’d give them depth and help them through this stretch. He might be able to get them to the playoffs. Nobody knows how long Hughes is out for. If it’s an extended period, Matheson could help. He has his warts but the guy can skate and create offense. He'd probably slot in as #2 or #3 there depending on what you think of hronek.
If canucks are interested I'm tempted to see what Rutherford would offer. He can be pretty cavalier with his prospect cupboard if you look at his track record.
Matheson is a player that plays 25+ minutes per game. The worst thing for this organization would be to add more pressure to young D by moving the player who eats the most minutes. They need to trade for Matheson. And I mean that seriously.
Rutherford won't offer anything because he's not the GM.He'd probably slot in as #2 or #3 there depending on what you think of hronek.

Gorton has said plenty of times that he lets Hughes work and does talk to him about trades....but he's not the president. He's president and under him is a relatively inexperienced GM.
It would be like assuming gorton does not have any say in Habs transactions.

As talking heads have stated, they’ve been told by management around the league it’s Gorton they talk directly to, but Hughes is on the calls listening inRutherford won't offer anything because he's not the GM.
