They got Dahlin back. He was injured through the entirety of their losing streak. They broke the losing streak his 1st game back.

Fans often underestimate how much impact one player, one injury, can have on developing rosters...

They were never "that" bad, nor are they "fixed" with Dahlin back, but a bonafide #1D does wonders for a thin roster.

Despite how the Preds are, Marchessault is on pace for 59 points and nearly 30 goals. He's still a good player although not sure how that contract will age.

The difference between Georgiev and Blackwood has been night and day for the Avs. That being said, Georgiev also had very good stats in his first year with the Avs so it might still be premature to say that their goaltending got resolved.

I never minded this contract. Because when you sign someone, you basically give him two years as bonus to get the player. It's always been this way. So I wanted Marchessault for three years, that means you have to eat the two other years. I think he was the little engine mixing talent and feistiness that would have been perfect for us to insert into the line-up and be a great example for the kids. Gally with talent, essentially.

If the Preds continue to suck and the Habs make the playoffs, he still would be someone I would love to have come in, entertaining to trade for at the TDL.

Sens without Ullmark or a healthy Forsberg for their 5-game road trip where they face WPG, MIN, DAL, STL, DET. Pretty tough. It's too bad we lost to CBJ, and our schedule coming up is pretty tough too, because that last wildcard spot looks pretty juicy.
