Wonder if Hughes changes his approach going forward. Thats 2 deals to NJ he moved a veteran to give the young guy(s) runway to take off and they never left the gate. Saw it with many of the young players this preseason, just never came in working their asses off to get a spot and expected it to be handed to them.

So weird he looked way better last year like he was turning a corner. Had some swagger to him.
Keeping his Mental was always an issue with Primeau, he was consulting last year and it got better. Not sure what happened this year, but if you can't even handle the pressure of being the backup...yeah, not an NHL goalie.

MSL said they were waiving him so he can get back his mojo in Laval.

Could have done this move last week,
He's like 48hr.+ on waiver the way they did this yesterday.
Do they actively want to loose him?
They we'ren't ready to roll yet with Dobes last weeks?
Anyway Primeau is tagged low priority now.

Yeah he had some decent games where it seemed he was challenging the shooters.
The problem is they were sporadic and his glove hand was constantly getting exposed when he played deeper in his net.
I found there was very little consistency to his game or his mechanics.

They didn't do anything yesterday. He's not on waivers yet....
The fact he isn't on waivers yet, which according to Google would officially be an option at noon mountain time (7AM this morning), to me means there is something going on behind the scenes. I am likely thinking too hard about this, but you would think they would want him to be on waivers ASAP so that he clears ASAP for the purpose of a possible deal (his best value being in the AHL), but maybe Primeau isn't actually part of a deal, so there is no urgency.

He played well at the end of last year to the point where there were whispers of him competing for number one.

He’s been brutal. All the best to him. Hopefully he can find his game. I don’t see him in our long term plans though.

I don't know how goalies react to certain situations, and I don't know if we miss out on a talent...but clearly that development wasn't ideal. Hoping that nobody takes him (as it should) and he gets his game back in Laval.
We can't ice him anymore i mean he's having the 2nd worse season in NHL history there's a risk we lose the locker room if we keep icing him. Not sure development was not ideal maybe he's just not good. He's a 7th round pick you should not expect a 7th round pick to develop as a NHL talent. He cooked in the AHL and according to 99% of our fans that's how you are supposed to do it. He cooked long enough imo time to move on if he late bloom like Tim Thomas so be it.

The G position is voodoo, and I will never consider anyone a bona fide starter until it happens. Our #1G, who just made team Canada, was a waiver wire pickup.

Monty never have the pedigree of a Fowler, if he did he wouldn't have been on Waivers. Fucale was always a 50/50 bust potential
