What is absolutely crazy, is some Bruins fans on their board, who are now convinced Monty asked for a high salary and performed poorly this season on purpose so he would get fired and be available for the job in StLouis, where his wife is from. LOL!

Look into it.

No you’ve been missing the point for 2 years. You don’t get to decide who is eligible for draft in a certain year, you make the best out of it and between Slaf, Nemec, Cooley, Wright, Jiricek, Gauthier it’s a wash so far with a slight edge for Slaf.
Isn’t it impressive to you how quickly Michkov has adjusted to the NHL? Sky’s the limit for him.

It is.

What it is not though is having any impact on the evaluation of our own prospects. Development is not linear. It's not rare at all that a player will be better than another one d+2 but then d+4 the role are reversed. Like i always say wait for the players to be over 22 before coming to any conclusion.

D+2 Monahan did 31 goals and 62 points while MacKinnon did 14 goals and 38 points. D+3 Monahan did 27 goals and 63 points while MacKinnon did 21 goals and 52 points. If you look stickily at D+2 and d+3 Monahan looked like the best player or at least equally as good. While i like Monahan a lot even without injuries he would not be even remotely close to MacKinnon today.

I don't mind people glossing over Michkov. What i do mind is people using Michkov to bring down our own prospects under the age of 23. Fans are not patient enough.

Ottawa has placed forward Zack MacEwen on waivers.

MacEwen played in 19 games with the Senators this season, scoring two goals and adding one assist.

If he is that good, we definitely should have hired him…

I don’t mind uncritical support for every Habs player and prospect. What I do mind is people insisting that whatever the Habs organization does (eg Development decisions, draft table decisions) is the optimal and only way to do things. Our fans are sometimes too delusional in how they justify everything done by the organization.

When a contingent of fans will sincerely appreciate every decision of the organization — no matter what it is or how it is done — it makes “bad guys” and “trolls” out of honest fans who have different expectations. We don’t want an echo chamber do we?

Douglas Murray talked about a story where he got a call from Thornton telling him they're moving someone in.

He gets to the apartment and asks Thornton, "are we getting a new teammate, or something ?"

Thornton responded "No, it's a homeless single mother of 2 that were moving in here and you can't tell anyone about it"

Not gonna lie, when you hear stuff like that you kind of want to go back in time and see a player like that win the cup

Edit: I tried to look it up quickly, but couldn't find it. 32 thoughts played the snippet. At the end you could hear Murray holding back tears.

I am puzzled by Trotz's moves as a GM .
Getting some pucks for a player that seems to be busting or asked to be traded or who knows what is going on there.

But you can also believe that Trotz is gming via flipping coins too, but that looks more to be what is happening with the Penguins...
