There must be a coaching change coming to the Pens soon. They are a league worst in goal differential with a -34 on pace for a -121

I have heard on this forum multiple times that the stipulation for dubas coming to pitt was that Sullivan can't be fired.

I'm not sure if true, but if ownership is meddling in that way on a guy that dubas didn't even hire, that would be a red flag for me even before taking the role.

You guys need to embrace le tank and realise that's the plan. Hiring Montgomery to grind deez wins is not the way.

Marchenko ties it late Monahan wins it in SO. Both have 20pts in 20gp

Habs vs Jackets again on Wednesday.

Bedard was jacked at the combine. Looks like similar heights and builds to me between him and Michkov. Michkov is in a hoodie.

I'm surprised how bad Bedard is struggling. I thought he'd come in and score 35 no problem right away. It goes to show one lucky lottery win doesn't take you out of a rebuild especially how Chicago tore it down to nothing. They have a ton of work to do.

MSL WILL NOT BE FIRED. They had to convince him to take the job. If he goes it will probably be a mutual decision that he is not the man to get the Habs to a Cup.
Every coach in the NHL gets convinced to take their job. Almost 100% of them still get fired.

Having said that, I don't think MSL's on the firing line. If it's to happen, it will likely be in the offseason.

What are you talking about? Almost every NHL coach had to convince a team to hire THEM. MSL wasn't looking at coaching. They convinced him to try.

May have missed an opportunity with Montgomery. We don’t exactly have a goldmine of coaches that fit our requirements in Montreal.

Every coach signing is a negotiation. They're not drafted. Babcock had to be convinced to go to Toronto but they still fired him.

Hypothetically, if the Habs needed a coach today, I think the organization would look to Vincent as a serious candidate.

Good move by the Blues. They know him and his firing was undeserved.

Blues gave him 5 years as well which is excellent for the coach. This is an industry where the average coach does not last 3 years.

Montgomery was an assistant with the Blues before he was hired by the Bruins

His wife is also from St. Louis. They probably wanted to go back there. They know everyone in that organization and they know them.

Drew Bannister lasted all of 22 games. Damn, that's harsh. I mean not as bad as Babcock getting fired before the season started, but not something you want to put on your resume either.
