Thanks for sharing that. We all come here to talk hockey and in this digital world, we don't get many glimpses into the real-life events of many of our members so it is cool to read a story like yours. You are living proof that living each day to its fullest is the best path to take because one never knows. Cheers my friend.No recollection...I crashed head first into the treadmill. I had zero issues cholesterol wise, arteries were clear but I was doing a workout we use to do when I was in the military and evidently I got my heart up so high that the electrical impulses got out of whack and somehow one of the valves in my heart malfunctioned. I woke up in ICU 3 days later. Once I came to the Cardiologist says to me..."welcome to the 5% club"...I asked what he meant...he said only 5 % survive what happened to me. Ironically in a room next to mine there was a guy who was still unconscious (later died) from the same issue. I have had no issues since but of course it is always in the back of my mind.
