Pretty crazy how a bad mannered cockroach evil piece of crap can be so mindful and generous with his attention.

Real cool stuff, protect this guy at all costs, other athletes take notes, that kid is gonna tell his kids about this, awesome moment.

Edit : sorry I didn’t realize I was in a Habs thread my bad, I’m just browsing around, I’m tipsy on a Tokyo train going home after work, I mean no harm.

Trading Trouba did help a lot :sarcasm:
I'm enjoying following the NYR swoon. I can't see the unceremonious eviction of their captain going over well in the dressing room.

Their situation would be even worse if the refs didn't gift wrap them a win versus our Habs last weekend.

if we had picked Wright after 6 months there would have been a meltdown here as soon as Slaf scored 5 goals alongside Jack Hugues, pitckforks, trade him away and move on to the next draft and repeat.

Now he has a 40% shoothing % in his last 8 games and you're back at the Slaf pick, etc. Myself I never called him a bust because it's too early to tell, I'm fine with the Slaf pick even if right now he plays like an ass and is clueless on how to do a D-zone breakout.

Some people interpret this as meaning "HuGo can't do wrong". NO, it's just that for both praise or blame it's too early to say. Of course the fun is in speculating and trying to predict so it's fine that we debate this here but it's all speculation.

My own opinion: I don't expect HuGo to pick the best player each time, I expect a playoff team with at least 1 Conference final before Suzuki's contract is up. I don't care how they get there, draft, trade, luck.

Right now the lack of a 2nd top6 C is impairing the development of Slaf, we don't have a C for Laine and our supposed "strong young D core" seems more like a mirage then anything as beyond Guhle & Hutson no one is a confirmed core top4 D.

I remember Richer playing some games with Skrudland as his C, seems like we're still there after 30 years. This team needed a Celebrini much more then a euro power forward but that's how things happened.
I was fine with Slaf. And still is. It,s just that the double standards here are ridiculous. We are told to be patient with our own prospects. But any second we can shit on prospects of other teams at the same age, we have no hesitation in doing it. That's all.

Wright has been given a chance to develop in Seattle without the death threats he would have received here...so theres that.
Or maybe he's just having a good sequence like Slaf at the end of last season? Why do people panic every time a player has a good or bad sequence is beyond my understanding.

Since the beginning of the season my experience is the opposite. All i see is people shitting on our own prospects non stop. You even have people almost shitting on Lane Hutson for god sake. You can see they are just waiting for Hutson to have 5-6 games without a point their knives are well sharpened.

Not us. But Slaf deserve the criticisms as it's mostly based on effort. Which other prospects of us are getting crapped on? In Laval..nobody. I mean, I can't crap on on Mesar..he's not playing..lol. Who else? Nobody craps on Demidov, he's not playing. Hage is doing great....I mean...again, who gets crapped on?

Why would you want a player who doesn't want to be there in your dressing room?
Maybe there is more than one bad apple in the Big Apple.

Right...
There is a delete feature that has never failed for me. :skeptic:

Quick had a bad night, but yeah, Rangers issues run deeper than Trouba. Their top guys (Lindgren, Kreider & Zib) look like they're already aging out.

It's impressive how quickly they rebuilt and peaked. Kakko not developing into an impactful top 6 player has hurt them. Laf has been growing slowly but surely. He is still a far cry from the projected star he was supposed to be.

It was more of a re-tool than re-build, but yeah, it didn't last long.

“Does the NHL have a diving problem?”

Yes, it has for decades. The only solution has always been divers getting an extra penalty or the only penalty. I would sincerely trust NHL refs with yet another subjective task on their plate. :sarcasm:
