We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.
What This Means for You:

Matthews gets shut down by both Florida teams, and stalls at 69 goals.
I was kinda hoping Matty Boy was gonna get #70 because his father in the stands wanted it so badly. Not nearly as badly as Cuthbert did mind you but he still wanted it badly. 
Matthews is immensely talented but he has never struck me as someone capable of carrying his team through the playoffs. It's like he is built for the regular season but not the playoffs.
Sportsnet needed that 70th to help with the pain of the collapse against the Bruins but they didn't get it. Hockey Gods right now:
Tavares scored and he looked like someone kicked his dog. Still a great season for Matthews. Something for him to aim for next season.

Him getting 12 SOG and the most ice time of any Leafs' players (including D's) shows the Leafs were more interested in getting that 70 for Matthews than preparing themselves for the playoffs. Could be another short stint in the playoffs even against a not scary Bruins team.

They were also super pissed when there was a delayed penalty coming up and Keefe sent nostrils onto the ice but fortunately (for us), Brodie scored his 1st of the season from the point thus negating the upcoming penalty
100%. They pulled their goalie trailing by 3 goals with approx. 3 minutes left
On one end he did score 69 goals which is insane but man, it feels so typical that he couldn't just pot one more when the pressure was on. Another time where he folds when it matters.
Also, it highlighted that the priorities of the Leafs remain the individual stats of their members. They simply do not get it.
Dallas is a well built team, only one player on the current roster under 6 ft (Stankhoven) and just two others under 6'1. They have 8 20 goal scorers, good d and goaltender, they should be a tough out these playoffs.
I guess I have more leeway for a team that’s proven it can win multiple times…
I get it but the Leafs didn't really didn't have anything else to play for in this game except for staying healthy. I think us fans, myself included look into areas that don't really matter that much. The Leafs won't win or lose their series against Boston based on how they played tonight
