The animosity towards Keith Tkachuk getting into the HHOF is completely related to his kids right?

Like, if his kids were more likable, people wouldn't have an issue with a guy being elected to the Hall of Fame who's Top 40 all-time in goals with more than 1,000 career points to his name, right?

Keith Tkachuk was a great player. However, I think people were upset about the perceived slight against Ullmark. The whole family is really good at hockey. Try to separate hockey awards from humanity assessments. That being said, I would have a tough time cheering for any of the Tkachuks on my team..

Why?

If having them on the Bruins would bring the Stanley Cup to Boston, I’d pick them up at Logan and drive them to the Garden myself.

Character is very important to me in my personal life, and I mostly surround myself with people who align with my core values.

However, I’ve never known any Boston Bruins personally. I don’t care if they’re nice guys. I don’t care if they’re pleasant to be around. They don’t text me or call me, and they’re not at my house for dinner and a game of monopoly over the weekend. As long as they’re not convicted felons, who cares?

Just f***ing win.

I think there is a lot to this, and I also think that most people are afraid to talk about it because the truth is too inflammatory and ugly.
They went to the White House and are proud to be an American won the gold medal.

Scumbags they are.

Why would play in front of fans that hate you?? Canadian teams are in big trouble if Americans would rather not play for their teams.

Mathews will be the next to go wait and see.

Buffalo is apparently on Helleybuck's short list of trade destinations so we better hope this doesn't happen. Goaltending is the only advantage we currently have there.
I like that Buffalo team quite a bit. I wonder how they'll look if they part with Byram and Tuch. I don't like that for them.

Boston also has an advantage with ruggedness. It also isn't ideal for Buffalo to lose the likes of Carrick, Stanley, and Schenn. It's okay to lose them but they added them for a reason and the rugged play of Boston (and the FL teams) was a big part of it - the role has to be replaced to deal with the Atlantic division. They should keep Stanley regardless of how awesome he is or isn't, he checks a box.

It will be interesting to see how they look and fare next season. They have to be careful to not stall their progress or regress. Fun team, good story finally, hope they keep it going.

This, as soon as the fans started hating them for being a proud American it was over.

I didn't say they are not meatheads because I think they are but the hate these two get is laughable especially from Bruins fans of Brad Marchand.
Id argue most pro athletes are for the most part meatheads. You have a few outliers like Bergy who clearly have a brain that works really well and even fewer outliers like Chara who are meat heads with brains that work exceptionally well.

I always felt he was borderline. Nice stats but no major awards, no major team accomplishments, and only a two time All Star. He was ok in the playoffs but no signature run of memorable significance. Lead the league in goals once.

This is, like, 75% a real possibility knowing Zito.

Question: "Who will playing goal for Florida??"

Answer: "Who ever Florida decides they want."

That's just how Zito operates.
Hopefully he decides he wants Swayman and by the time the Bruins are ready to compete again we can cash in those Florida 2034 and 2036 1st round draft picks
