Even though it’s from Carolina, pretty cool story of rookie Ponomarev playing his first NHL game, called up last minute, flies in game day and gets to arena just a couple of hours before game time. Ends up 1+1, with first NHL goal.

Maybe Samo gets the same treatment one of these days.

Toronto wins another OT game. We know how that might come back to haunt them entering the playoffs. Being good at 3 on 3 does not help you in the playoffs. They only have 11 regulation wins. I guess we'll see.

Their goal is to draw 2 penalties and then get called for 2, then it’ll be 3 on 3.

I think Ottawa is officially out of the Eastern Conference playoff race and rushing headfirst into 'hoping for first overall' territory. I think they are actually worse than Columbus.

Can't even score on f***ing Edmonton lmao

Skinner these past 10 or so games has stepped it up a good bit.

But yeah, fired DJ smith to be in the exact same place
Monty has quietly been like the best player on the Habs for the last couple of seasons.
he was insane that game, i think almost 50 saves

DJ Smith was a bad coach, but that team is broken.

If we can't afford to re-sign Reino, see if Zito can get the Sens to part with Brady. That team needs to be blown up.

Trade Bob for 30% retained and Ekblad....and the below is cap compliant with $100K to spare. Just saying...

So...what would it take?

The only situation in which you trade Bob involves 0% salary being retained, good capital coming back, and Spencer Knight looking like he can handle the starter's duties.

I think the former could happen for a team that has short term cap space and thinks they have a window. I don't see the latter happening any time soon, unfortunately.
