I find Chychrun to be redundant. He fulfils a similar role as Chabot, but Chabot is better, and signed for much longer. Chychrun should be replaced in the offseason with another Zub-type: defense first right shooting defenseman.
Minnesota has recovered from their poor start, and looks good. Lets say they want to go for it this year and next year, which they should. They need more scoring from forwards and defense to be a true contender. They have a great young goalie locked up in Gustavson. Perhaps Wallstadt is surplus, and is exactly what the Sens need going forward to go with their young developing core.
How could a trade-deadline deal that sends Tarasenko (UFA) and Chychrun to the Wild, and Wallstadt + to the Sens be constructed? What would the + be?
