I think we’re all guilty of it. It’s a crapshoot for the most part.

Eh, I feel like that’s the standard line because we don’t want to hurt people’s feelings or get into arguments.

But the uncomfortable answer is that some people are better talent evaluators. Some people are more balanced in their takes. Some people do have significantly higher batting averages.

No, not all opinions are equal, or as informed. Some people really do just pull things out of their ass and then get insulted.

We can give the more diplomatic answer, and that’s fine. But sometimes it’s nice not to kid ourselves and just be like, “yeah, we know who’s who around here.”

Even if we don’t necessarily always 100 agree with those people, they can still usually make a compelling argument for their takes.

Lmao ADA always in the middle of it. Guy has serious anger issues.

If this team can grow and mature and continue to add some higher end talent, imagine what a nightmare they could be to play against.

They’re already pains in the asses. You add some maturity, some developmental time, and the some additional skill to the mix? That’s fun.

If this team moves forward with Pionk in any competitive capacity, the rebuild failed before it even started.
So you're saying if you get picked for Pionk shirt off this back, you would

A) decline it
B) accept it, but take it outside to 7th Ave after the game for a public burning

Sure. I agree, but my point is that no one knows for certain which prospect will become a good NHL player, and which won’t. A lot of it is hindsight bias. A lot of it is confirmation bias. Even the best talent evaluators are wrong time and time again. That’s all I’m saying. And that’s not their fault. Prospects can fall off a cliff or become elite out of nowhere sometiems.
