I mran yeah 2nd goal was bad but at some point we need pressure created by our top 6 5vs5 . I think it'our biggest weakness right now. Our depth player are better at cycling the puck 5vs5 and keeping possesion in the Ozone. Come on it can continue like this if we want that 1st /2nd wildcard spot.

We let it turn into a track meet because the forwards stopped slowing them down through the NZ and that speed was too much for the D to handle

The first goal Soogard had to move for it and it was technically from the slot even if it was the very high slot. You'd like him to have that but you can live with it for your backup goaltender.

Second goal you have to have if you want to play in the NHL or AHL.

That was basically the period. Otherwise I felt we traded chances at times but still looked like the better team in the second.

I wish Travis Green would have started Merilainen. Can we just see what we have with that guy?

We saw enough of Soogard and Forsberg in that 8-7 win over the Kings. We've tried a Swede, a Dane... lets try a Finn.

When you ice Sogaard against Hellebuyck, even doubling the other team in scoring chances is not enough.

To be fair it’s not all on Soogard. We’re having a good game so far overall but in the 2nd you could see we were sloppy. Our kryptonite is, and has always been, getting out of the Dzone. We struggle to string passes to exit the zone. At some point if you can’t clear if after 1, 2, 3, 4 tries with tired guys on the ice it ends up in a goal.

Our 3rd pair can’t do that right now. Hamonic rims it off the boards 90% of the time. Our D is below average right now. We need help Staois.

First goal was a one timer in the slot from a pass behind the goaline, that's one of the tougher plays to make a save on, hard to blame anyone but the forward that failed to pick up Connor on that

He’ll start tomorrow on the second half of the back-to-back.

Anything Sens related on the Saturday headlines?

Do we really want to expose the kid against Winnipeg? Don't want to destroy his confidence at this part of his development.
