Ottawa is awful tonight. Sluggish. Looks like they are dragging arse. Much be some sickness running through the room.

They sure look awful over the past 5 periods being outscored 10 to 0. No desire, no drive, no offensive zone time ends up in this situation. Sickness? That Battalion goalie sure was not overworked or tested with many quality scoring chances.

I’m pretty sure something is running through the dressing room right now. Heavy legs tonight. No push back at all. This team tonight was slower than last years team. I refuse to believe this team didn’t play sick. There were maybe 4 players with jump.

When you have a full game and none of Rohrer, Pinelli or Stonehouse make anything happen, they must be sick.

All 18 guys are deathly sick but fine enough to dress?

Should they forfeit? Have you never been sick and decided to play whatever sport you play and trudge through it?

I remember a story of a buddy of mine from the past who was an Oshawa Generals goalie. He said one game he was so sick but the whole team was sick so he had to suit up anyway. He shit his pants with 10 minutes left and finished the game.

No I'm saying it comes across a lot like an excuse for losing to a team missing 3 of their best players lol. You now are boxed into a corner needing them to look horrible against the Petes as well on Saturday otherwise the flu angle was clearly not true

The flu does not go on forever and things can improve by Saturday. They could compete with any team but over the 5 last periods they have no compete level at all. Something has to be the cause of this complete turnaround.

Did you watch the game? The 67s had ZERO scoring chances. Not one. ZERO. The goalie didn’t stand on his head. Didn’t have to make one tough save. Players that get their names called out multiple times per period didn’t get one mention the entire game until they took a lazy penalty because they lagged behind the play.

They were the worse team on the ice when they had a power play. Even at a man advantage they didn’t manage a dangerous scoring chance over five power plays. North Bay had multiple golden scoring opportunities short handed.

I mean, it was so obvious the team is sick and struggling. Guelph would have pumped them tonight for a shutout on 67a home ice! The 67s weren’t beating anyone.

North Bay didn’t even play well if I am being honest. The other two games the 67a won against North Bay, they played way better than they did in a 5-0 win tonight.

You even asked pre-game about the Bodog bet and I said I wasn’t sure about their health. I said that specifically because I had heard they were sick. Even the play by play radio announcer was off sick! He didn’t make the trip. How funny is that though? He was on the bus this weekend on the road and now shows up lame.

I dunno. Seems pretty obvious to me but who knows. Maybe the first 20 games they are a top 3 team in the country and show up and couldn’t beat a Midget team tonight and I’m not exaggerating either.

Zero scoring chances. I honestly don’t think I’ve seen that before.

I think last night showed how important Beck is to the ‘67s. The ‘67s were simply out classed, including behind the bench; poor look by Cameron imo. Illness was not the reason the ‘67s were dominated.

NB got off to a poor start, but did play very well for the next ~50 minutes in their home loss to the ‘67s. The game in Ottawa however, NB looked like many others do in their 3rd game in 2.5-3 days ending in Ottawa.

Last night the bigger, stronger, better team wanted to make a statement. The ‘67s might have played like they believe they are a good team that can’t lose rather than playing like they felt disrespected as they did to start the season.

1- Pinelli who thought he would be leading his team in points
2- Barlas Had him gone from the OHL
3- Matier best overall player
4- Mews, I think he is going to come back after Xmas being a top pair Defenceman
5- Beck (lack of games) Was looking for him as a leader
6 - Mews

4 12 2 That says it all

SOG I presume. That might be an indication the ‘67s were dominated.
The ‘67s need Beck, limit the exposure of the two rookie D, and Morrison & Panwar types added; and, perhaps an attitude adjustment immediately. That team showed they are not equipped to handle adversity.

LOL. OK. Everything points toward the 67’s having health issues due to sickness but even though North Bay played poorly, they dominated Ottawa and now it looks like Ottawa isn’t a playoff team. Because, let me tell you, if Ottawa plays the worst teams in the league the way they played last night, they go 0-47 the rest of the way.

The team was playing battling whatever is going around. As mentioned, even their play by play guy (who was on the bus through Monday on the road trip), couldn’t muster the energy to get his arse on the bus to call an away game. Kenny Walls is a trooper But not last night.

But, as usual, you can believe what you wish.
