How did the Sharks pull this off? Balcers is underrated but the Sens didn’t get a single blue chip prospect or young player out of this. You could argue there’s a more than decent chance they didn’t get a single part that will ever be a top 6 forward or top 4 defender out of this package. A bunch of useful depth parts of EK, UFA to be or not is simply not good enough.

Tierney and Demelo are decent young players, but I'm not high on Josh Norris at all, and the draft picks will all be late.

I assume the two conditional picks are aroud whether Karlsson extends or not. We'll need to see what those picks actually are.

Overall, pretty medicore, but at least Ottawa can try and move forwa- Oh, they have Stone and Duchene to go through this process with now? Oh boy

And no 1st round pick to look forward to. At least the Leafs got Phil Kessel in exchange for their blunder...Ottawa has no silver lining on their horizon. I love it!
