How is that possible? I was told he was going to struggle behind the much worse Sens defense
Sens dominated this game with youth and speed. Swayman was fantastic or this was a blowout. Bruins did good locking him up long term.

He almost popped 1 tonight hes been very impressive and so has korpi.

Kospisalo's sav% is .015 lower than Ullmarks was for Boton last year, and Kastelic has 2 points in his last 11 games.

I wouldn't consider anyone involved in this trade (including Ullmark) to have had an impressive beginning to their season.

The way everyone was saying especially sens fans this was a lopsided trade for Ottawa was overblown.

It was more that Ottawa got to unload a goalie while acquiring a goalie they Valued. We had to trade for a goalie. We couldn't run it back with the current tandom. The question how Ottawa deal with 3 goalies going into the season was a reality, so not having to stress over that's an instant win.

For Ottawa, it was more that the team got a capable, #1 goalie. That save in OT tonight from Ullmark is something we havent had consistently in a long time with past goalies.

Sens fans know korpisalo and Kastelik a lot better than you guys do. You guys are just on a first date. We married them.

We know exactly what you got. Even if you don't yet.

That's why we know we won this trade.

I hope kastelik does awesome for you guys. He's a good 4th liner.

But with the Ulmark signing I don't see any scenario where Kastelik tips the scales away from this being a homerun trade for the sens.

Only 4 years, less risk involved, I think this is better than the Swayman deal, idk prolly jacked up the AAV to keep the years down.
Sens need to stop losing. They needed to stop losing for a long time. We have heard from Sens fans for years that this roster should be much better. They can't wait out another 4 years. What's Brady going to be thinking about another 4 years of mediocrity when his contract is up and his prime has been wasted? They need that $8.25m working for them NOW.

Korpi numbers are pretty equal to linus at the moment and he was part of the trade.

Well I guess you’re right, this 13 game sample size has certainly settled that lol
listen man, I hope those guys work out for you - I don’t think they will but if they do then super! The reality is Korpisalo is hot garbage, he’s been hot garbage his entire career with the exception of a brief glimmer of light.
The absolute last thing ottawa needed was that dude on our roster for 4 more years. You guys have Swayman so not as big a deal I guess if you want a $4 million dollar back up.

For my part when I watch Ullmark in nets I feel nice and calm and relaxed, I havent felt that way since Anderson.
Liked Kastelic though, nice 4th line centre imo

3 million backup sens paying 1 million of the salary entire term.

Mark Kastelic would go top 32 in a 2019 re-draft, so that adds another first to what the Senators gave up.

Not only that, but Korpisalo was traded for a 1st and a 3rd round pick as a rental. So you're really looking at the Senators giving up three first round picks to make a lateral move in net.

Honestly, can't believe I'd ever miss Dorion this much. Great deal for the Bruins.

Nice hyperbole
