This signing is going to backfire on the sens. The bruins sheltered ullmark also he never played more then 50 games. Bruins won this trade but it won’t matter since the bruins will miss the playoffs

This. Their forwards cheat for offense all the time. Exciting games for sure. But they get exposed all the time.
It's been 7 games and he's been dealing with a nagging injury.
If he's still underperforming a month from now I'll be concerned.

It’s really too early IMO to draw any conclusions about how this is going to backfire.
I will say that the “lopsided” nature of the trade was always overstated. People can’t get it through their heads that any goaltender getting traded is never going to fetch the Kings ransom that is seemingly expected. They got a very serviceable player and a first rounder for a surplus. On a goalie that really only showed a single elite year and isn’t a spring chicken. I’m not sure why so much more was expected.
