49ers won't go anywhere until they get rid of Shanahan. Guy's bad juujuu. He's never had a lead he couldn't blow.
The starting pitching is a mystery right now but the back end has been solid lately. I look around the league, not a single 100 game winner for the first time in a while. Should be interesting.Starting pitchers only going four or five innings is going to kill the bullpen.
Dodgers are going to have to win a lot of slow pitch softball type games if the starters don't improve.

Eventually there won't really be a starter. Every game will effectively be a bullpen game. It's crazy to think in the 80's and 90's pitchers were going 8 plus innings, then the reliever goes in to finish off the 9th. Giving up 5 or 6 runs through 8 was pretty much the norm and throwing 120 or more was the same. Babe Ruth pitched 14 innings to win the world series in 1916 and ate 11 hotdogs too.

The Babe washed those dogs down with 8 beers, too. It's crazy to think in the 80's and 90's pitchers were going 8 plus innings, then the reliever goes in to finish off the 9th. I wouldnt be surprised to see MULTIPLE bullpen games in the first series.Eventually there won't really be a starter. Every game will effectively be a bullpen game.
On the one hand, playoff rotation is basically 3 pitchers, so that helps the Dodgers a little. On the other hand, the Dodgers only have 2 starters at this point so you may be correct. lolI wouldnt be surprised to see MULTIPLE bullpen games in the first series.
