Can't cheer for a city that has Red Wing scum.

You don't think the NFL wants Swifty and her legion of fans watching the Super Bowl.
Last year's Super Bowl winner, which has made 3 of the last 4 Super Bowls, making this year's Super Bowl with the same Hall of Fame-bound QB, TE, and coach is so inexplicable, it must be a conspiracy.

Yes but like I was saying the regular season and postseason are not the same , there is so much data to support that and in all the sports.
Especially that first one . It is just a matter of minutes , 3 scores so much harder to overcome then 2 . And on the road
I don’t think playoffs changes anything but I do think within the context of that game it was a mistake. That 9ers were completely dead. Another score would’ve demoralized them. He gave them life and it was a mistake.

It was a long field goal so maybe that played into his decision as well.

The notion that this has been who the Lions are all year, so that somehow means they should continue to be themselves is an odd one.

It's not the regular season, the stakes are way different...you're playing in the NFCCG against the #1 team in the NFC, in their house.

Why would you even risk that at that point.

I'm a lifelong 49ers fan, but if I was a Lions fan...I'd want Campbell's head.

It was reckless.

You right on the context of the game , but being a playoff also has an effect , this is the lions , the miss on 4th means here we go again . You let the crowd back into it many things are amplified in the playoff and you risked all turn against you

It wasn’t a gimme field goal though. What if they’d kicked and missed? Would we be asking why they didn’t go for it? They’ve gone for it all year and had good success. Their offense was dominant up to that point. We’d probably be asking why he didn’t go that route…

Haven't looked at the stats but could it be that the kicker from Detroit couldn't make those kicks instead?
Detroit going for it on 4th down all season long may have something to do with it. The dude only had 4 attempts all season long and he made all 4.
He was also 3 for 3 in the post season two shorties and one 54 yrd attempt. So in actuality he had only 1 40-49 yrd attempt all season long.
Did this play into it? :dunno:

It wasn't the season though...who cares if they went for it on 4th down in a mid November game against the Chicago Bears.

You got the San Francisco 49ers on the road, in their house, in a Championship game...take the points, you have a kicker for a reason. Let him do his job.

I don't care about american football but i hope Taylor Swift's boy friend wins it. Not sure which team he plays for though. It will be fun to see some kind of people implode on social media.
IMO pro football is a good sport to follow casually. teams only play once per week, 17 game regular season, and the on-field product is for the most part very good. whenever I tune into a random game I'm usually entertained. NFL is the most successful league for a reason.

I have a lot of trouble following a sports that i never played cause i feel like i don't understand it well enough. The only sports i follow are Tennis, Hockey and Baseball because i played them enough to know the sports very well. I must have played like 1000 amateur hockey games in my life. I suck at it but i have a good understanding of the sports. When i watch Football i feel like the average CH fan who thinks we'll make the playoffs when we have a bottom 5 team. I watch the super bowl cause it's a show but that's about it.

I never said anything about it being wise. I'm ecstatic with the results. Juice talked about being on the bench hoping they would go for it. I'm still trying to figure out why this team is so good stuffing 4th downs because they've done pretty well all year. At the same time they are 25th in the league against third down and God forbid if it's third and long because they've blown far too many this season. They are such a better team when they are aggressive. AINEC

Wilks loves playing soft coverage on 3rd down and the tackling/rallying to the ball carrier has been subpar this season.

So funny to me that after all the complains about the new Arena in Quebec a few years ago we'll pay almost twice the amount for a new roof for the OS in Montreal lol

Can't wait to see if all the people from Montreal will be against this roof as much as they were against the new arena in quebec ... probably not.

Can’t wait for the new Taylor Swift album to come out. I can only imagine the songs.

Don’t Throw a Flag on Our Love
Smells Like Team Spirit
Our Love is Like a Field Goal - “It’s Good!”
Practice? We Talkin’ ‘Bout Practice?
I threw You My Love and You Caught it for Six

Etc….
