Lions began in 1930. The only time they were any good for a period of time was the 1950's. Unfortunately for them the NFL merged with the ACC and the Cleveland Browns entered the NFL and were the other good team in the 1950's. (Otto Graham, Paul Warfield, Lou Groza) They won most of the championships in the 50's. Detroit has won 4x - the last in 1957.

I like to see coaches not be conservative but he should have kicked the FG there (unless he doesn't trust the kicker) and gone up 7. Then If/when SF scores a TD you have the ball in a tie game.

Yes but like I was saying the regular season and postseason are not the same , there is so much data to support that and in all the sports.
Especially that first one . It is just a matter of minutes , 3 scores so much harder to overcome then 2 . And on the road

Funny in a time coaches supposed to have so much support , technology and data, crazy to see how many bone head calls they still making . Blue jays pulling a starter pitching at ace level, Tampa bay rays , too in a World Series to boot . Now this ,choosing not to got up 17 in the 3rd quarter on the road . I just don’t get it
