What QB would you go after in free agency or trade? Sam Bradford is likely to be the only current starter as an option.

I like Rivers. I think he could be had for a reasonable price. Other than Rivers, I can see someone like Flacco getting released due to him making close to 25M this coming season.

Why on earth would the Chargers trade Rivers?

Rivers is not being traded and Flacco is not being released.

Teams spend years, even decades (Chicago Bears) looking for QB's. Why would these teams get rid of those guys.

There were strong rumors around this past year's draft that SD had offered Rivers to TENN for the rights to their 1st pick (Mariota). It makes sense. Chargers are probably better off rebuilding, as they're not even close to being a playoff team imo.

Keep Pounding!!!

What a season from a supposed 7-9 team with no weapons.

Would be so devastating to lose to a broken down Peyton. Don't think he will fare very well against the Panthers defense.

SD would possibly be open to trading if they're going to get a QB of the future. You're not getting that from the Rams or their #15 pick unless you truly believe Paxton Lynch is going to be something special if he goes that late.

There would need to be more than a few pluses next to Rivers, and even then, nope. Mariota is a franchise player and Rivers is 34. It'd be like trading Jason Spezza for Jack Eichel.

Broncos facing a stout defense? Haven't seen that movie before. ;)

lol.

You asked which QB, and I answered. I never said anything about what would take to acquire him. As far as I'm concerned, this is just pure fantasy talk. :)

Rams need a QB like a fat kid needs candy, but this draft looks really lean. Either wait it out or pull the trigger on a trade. Not sold on Connor Cook.

The problem with drafting a rookie QB is timing. It usually take at least 2 to 3 years for the QBs to develop. Unfortunately, I don't think the Rams defense line stays in tact for that long. A lot of first round picks that the Rams can't afford, and will likely lose to free agency.

A guy like Rivers, still has good few years ahead of him, and he'd be an ideal fit on a team like the Rams.

Guy's 34 though. I see him retiring before getting traded.

Rams would go undefeated if they played Seattle 16 times a year.

I think you focus too much on their age, whereas, I focus on their on-field performance. And I thought with very limited and oft injured set of receivers/tight ends (and not having any help from the run offense), Rivers did very well.

Besides, him being 34, just may mean that we can get him for less. At least, that's a wishful thinking on my part.

Chargers are closer to playoffs than the Rams imo
